GATE VALVE AND METHOD OF REPAIRING SAME
A gate valve for controlling flow of a fluid therethrough is provided. The gate valve includes a valve body having an outer surface, a bore, a valve cavity, a first seat pocket, a second seat pocket, and first and second fluid ports extending from the outer surface to the first and second seat pockets, respectively. First and second seats are positioned respectively within the first and second seat pockets. The seats include circumferential fluid channels and one or more conduits in fluid communication with the fluid ports for permitting a repair fluid to be injected into the ports to the faces of the seats. A gate is slidably positioned within the valve cavity between the first seat and the second seat for controlling flow of a fluid through the valve. Sand shields are also provided at the rear of the seats to capture particulates and to bias the seats against the gate.
GATE VALVE
Provided are a highly durable and compact gate valve and a method of installing the gate valve. The gate valve includes a valve cage 12 accommodating a valve body and a sealing band 13 covering between a pair of fluid pipes W and the valve cage 12 under a sealed state. The valve cage 12 includes a pair of protruding tubular portion 12B protruding in a pipe axis direction X from a valve cage body. The sealing band 13 includes a pair of main body portions B1 covering the respective fluid pipes W1, W2 and the protruding tubular portions 12B under a sealed state and a connecting portion B3 connecting the pair of main body portions B1 and formed unitarily therewith and is constituted of a plurality of split members Ba split in a circumferential direction of the fluid pipes W.
Gate Valve
In embodiments, a gate valve includes a valve body including a flow passage from a first opening to a second opening, and a gate channel having a first end intersecting the flow passage and a second end delineated by a third opening. A valve cover fits over the third opening. A cap fits over a valve cover opening. In embodiments, a valve cover includes a body with a second sealing surface protruding from a first sealing surface, both around an opening of the body. A cap has a third sealing surface to mate with the first sealing surface, and a fourth sealing surface congruent to the second sealing surface. In embodiments, a valve cover cap includes a body with a first sealing surface on an end of a wall. Pin flanges each have a pin hole having a pin hole axis oriented perpendicular to a center axis of the wall.
REPLACEABLE BODY SAVER
A high pressure valve includes a valve body having a surface defining a corresponding portion of a conduit and a pocket. A removable insert is removably inserted into the pocket of the valve body and has surface defining a corresponding portion of the conduit. A seal insert is spaced from the valve body by the removable insert and has an interface with the removable insert. A moving member interfaces with the seal insert for selectively closing the conduit, the interface between the seal insert and the removable insert allows play between the seal insert and the removable insert in response to movement of the moving member.
INTEGRATED EQUALIZATON VALVE
An equalization valve includes a valve body defining an inlet body, an outlet body, and a gate slot, the inlet body defining an inlet passage and the outlet body defining an outlet passage; a gate defining an equalization chamber, a first equalization channel, and a second equalization channel, the equalization chamber and the first and second equalization channels defining an equalization pathway across the gate; and an actuation stem slidable within the equalization chamber between a first chamber position, wherein the actuation stem blocks the equalization pathway, and a second chamber position, wherein the actuation stem unblocks the equalization pathway; wherein the actuation stem is further slidable within the gate slot of the valve body between a first valve position, wherein the gate is seated with the valve body, and a second valve position, wherein the gate is unseated from the valve body.
INTEGRATED EQUALIZATION VALVE
Example aspects of an equalization valve are disclosed. The equalization valve can comprise a gate defining a first face, a second face, and a sidewall extending between the first face and second face, the gate further defining an equalization chamber extending into the sidewall, a first equalization channel extending from the first face to the equalization chamber, and a second equalization channel extending from the second face to the equalization chamber; and an actuation stem defining a lower portion slidably engaged with the equalization chamber, the actuation stem movable between a first position, wherein the actuation stem blocks the first equalization channel to prevent the flow of one of gas and fluid through the equalization valve, and a second position, wherein the actuation stem unblocks the first equalization channel to allow the flow of the one of gas and fluid through the equalization valve.
Sand lock valve
A singular piston included behind a valve seat within a gate valve assembly can be energized by external pressure through a hydraulic port within the valve body. When the back side of the singular piston is energized, the singular piston applies force in one direction against the adjacent valve seat, valve gate, opposing valve seat and valve seat pocket in both the valve open position and the valve closed position to block any unwanted matter from moving into the valve backside cavity. A singular piston has a pressure sealing surface and a piston pocket with an adjacent pressure sealing surface that allows the valve to seal in the closed position with the contained fluid bore pressure against the opposing valve body flow path side to the piston without the piston being energized.
Pipeline apparatus
Pipeline apparatus comprising a housing including a riser and a pipeline connector and a device configured to interact with fluid flowing through the pipeline connector, a mounting means for releasably mounting the device in the riser and seal means situated between an inner surface of the riser and an outer surface of the mounting means, the seal means configured to seal against egress of fluid from the apparatus, the mounting means and the riser each including a part of a locking means for releasably locking the device in the riser, the device situated in the pipeline connector.
Gate valve
A gate for a gate valve includes a first body portion and a second body portion. The first body portion has a disc shape and a first wedging element extending from the disc shape. The second body portion has a disc shape and a second wedging element extending from the disc shape. The second body portion is pivotably connected to the first body portion. A gate valve includes a valve body and the gate. The valve body includes a first opening, a second opening, a flow passage from the first opening to the second opening, and a gate channel intersecting the flow passage. The gate is configured to move along a center axis of the gate channel between a closed position where the gate is fully in the flow passage to block fluid flow through the flow passage and an open position where fluid can flow through the flow passage.
