System and method for convertible balanced and unbalanced stem valve

A system for converting operation of a valve between an unbalanced operation mode and a balanced operation mode includes a housing adapted to couple to a valve body. The system also includes a lower stem, including lugs, the lugs having a lug diameter that is larger than an adjacent lower stem diameter. The system further includes a valve member nut coupled to a valve member, the valve member nut having an opening to receive the lower stem, and pins extending into the opening, the pins forming a reduced diameter portion of the opening. In the system, the lower stem couples to the valve member, via the valve member nut, when the lugs are axially aligned with the reduced diameter portion and the lower stem decouples from the valve member when the lugs are axially misaligned with the reduced diameter portion.

The disclosure relates to a valve having an inlet device, which has at least one inlet opening and at least one outlet opening, and having a closing device for opening and closing the at least one inlet opening and/or outlet opening. The valve has an actuation device for actuating the closing device. The actuation device is guided in an axially moveable manner in a first direction in a housing. The valve further has a coupling element, which connects the actuation device and the closing device to one another such that an axial movement of the actuation device causes a movement of the closing device in a second direction that differs from the first direction.

VALVE GATE EUTECTIC LOCK
20220163127 · 2022-05-26 ·

A valve gate assembly with a eutectic implement configured to degrade in response to a force imparted along a non-parallel load path. The unique architecture employed for various embodiments ensures a non-parallel load path is employed in triggering the shift in position for a valve gate. This enhances the integrity of the eutectic implements such that a wider variety of valve gate assembly dimensions may be utilized. This, in turn, allows for such assemblies to be utilized with larger production line volumes without compromise to safety measures afforded by such safety valves.

Fluid throttling valve

A throttling valve that allows staged pressure drop increments upstream and/or downstream of a primary flow trim assembly within a valve body to help prevent cavitation and freezing effects. The flow trim assembly can be quickly and efficiently removed from the throttling valve (and repaired or replaced) without requiring disassembly of the throttling valve from a flow line or other fluid conduit, and without requiring removal of an automated actuator. A throttling valve body that allows direct mounting of actuators to the valve without the need for brackets and linkages.

METHOD OF CONTROLLING CHEMICAL CONCENTRATION IN ELECTROLYTE

A method of controlling chemical concentration in electrolyte includes measuring the chemical concentration in the electrolyte in a tank, wherein an end of an exhaust pipe is connected to a top of the tank; determining, by a valve moved along a top surface of the tank, a vapor flux through the exhaust pipe based on the measured chemical concentration; rotating, by using a motor connected to a ball screw connected to the valve, the ball screw to move a gate of the valve based on the determined vapor flux; electroplating, using the electrolyte provided by the tank, wafers respectively in a plurality of electroplating cells that are connected to the tank; and recycling the electrolyte to the tank.

Modular Linear Actuated Valve

The present disclosure provides a modular linear actuated valve having a lower body module that can interface with an interchangeable upper linear actuator module being at least one of a mechanical linear actuator module and a fluid linear actuator module. The invention includes a quick disconnect between the body module and any of the actuator modules. An actuator assembly on the selected actuator module can be coupled to the valve stem on the lower body module using a quick disconnect segment on the actuator module and a reciprocal quick disconnect segment on the body module. A valve can be quickly converted into a mechanical linear actuated valve or a fluid linear actuator valve, simplifying manufacturing and stocking, and providing a faster response to customer orders.

Dual gate and single actuator system

Disclosed is a wafer processing system, a dual gate system, and methods for operating these systems. The dual gate system may have a first gate, a second gate, a gate connector coupled to the first gate and to the second gate, and actuator coupled to the gate connector. The actuator is configured to seal the first gate against a first slot or open the first slot via vertical motion. The actuator is also configured to seal the second gate against a second slot or open the second slot via a combination of vertical motion and horizontal motion.

Apparatus and method for vacuumizing and sealing a package

An apparatus for vacuumizing and sealing a package includes a plurality of platens and vacuum chambers, each chamber adapted to mate with a dedicated one of the platens; a conveying system for conveying the platens and chambers along a generally angular path having a single axis of rotation; an automated loading assembly having a linear component and configured to load a package onto each of the platens; an automated unloading assembly having a linear portion and configured to unload a vacuumized, sealed package from each loaded platen onto an outfeed conveyor; and a vacuumizing/sealing system configured to cause relative movement of each chamber/platen pair, along a portion of the angular path, to form therebetween an air-tight enclosure accommodating the package and effect vacuumization and sealing of the package.

Apparatus, systems, and methods for controlling valve actuation speed

A valve actuator for a valve is disclosed, including an actuator housing with a reciprocation axis and a piston configured to reciprocate within the actuator housing along the reciprocation axis. The actuator housing has a port and a chamber disposed between the piston and a portion of the actuator housing with the port for fluid communication with the port of a working fluid. A piston projection or piston recess in the chamber is moveable with the piston to reduce a flow area in the chamber that causes a reduction in speed of the piston prior to reaching a stop position.
