VALVE DEVICE
20190162314 · 2019-05-30 · ·

A valve device is provided with a valve body driving member rotated by driving force from a drive source, and a valve body rotating in a circumferential direction integrally with the valve body driving member. Fitting parts fitted one another are formed in the lower surface of the valve body driving member and the upper surface of the valve body. The valve body has hole parts formed therethrough in the axial direction thereof. Groove parts that are flow channels linking from the outer peripheral surface of the valve body to the hole parts are formed in the upper surface of the valve body. The fitting parts and the groove parts on the valve body side have connecting parts that are portions where the fitting parts and the groove parts are formed continuously in the upper surface of the valve body without being separated by other elements constituting the valve body.

Pressure loss mitigation and durable valve

A valve comprises: a housing defining a chamber; a fluid outlet defined by a fluid outlet wall; and a first fluid outlet orifice and a second fluid outlet orifice comprising a rigid seat. The valve comprises a movable gate, that is flexible and/or compressible and impermeable. The moveable gate is more flexible than the rigid seat, has a planar surface, and is configured to slidably move in a first axis. The movable gate is configured to be positioned so that it is located between a fluid inlet orifice and the second fluid outlet orifice when the valve is in a closed position, wherein fluid pressure within the chamber causes the movable gate to seal the second fluid outlet orifice via the rigid seat, and not the fluid inlet orifice. The valve may employ gate shapes that generate and/or exploit Bernoulli effect forces when fluid passes though the valve.

Valve cartridges for a faucet are described herein. The valve cartridge has a body with a longitudinal passage, and a side opening. The cartridge has a spindle with a lower end portion in rotatable relationship with the body's interior surface, and an upper outwardly extending end portion. Included is a movable disk with a surface that contacts and interacts with the lower end portion of the spindle, an arcuate side wall portion and an inwardly extending side wall portion with a fluid receiving area that allows for fluid flow out of the body side opening. A stationary disk with a through opening allows passage of fluid from a body inlet through the side opening when the opening in the disk is aligned with the fluid receiving area. A sealing ring, which mates with the body, is provided to stabilize the stationary and movable disks within the body passage.
