Valve Apparatuses and Related Methods for Reactive Process Gas Isolation and Facilitating Purge During Isolation
An isolation valve assembly including a valve body having an inlet and an outlet. The isolation valve includes a seal plate disposed within an interior cavity of the valve body. The seal plate is movable between a first position allowing gas flow from the inlet to the outlet, and a second position preventing gas flow from the inlet to the outlet. The isolation valve includes a closure element disposed within the valve body. The closure element is configured to retain the seal plate stationary in the first position or the second position. The closure element includes a first sealing element positioned adjacent to a first surface of the seal plate. A working surface of the first sealing element is substantially obscured from the gas flow when the seal plate is stationary.

Sprung gate valves movable by an actuator
Valves having a sprung gate of various constructions are disclosed. In one embodiment, the sprung gate includes a first endless elastic band having an inner perimeter defining an open space sandwiched between a first gate member and a second gate member that each define an opening therethrough in an open position portion thereof. The first endless elastic band is sandwiched therebetween with its open space oriented for alignment with the opening in both of the first and second gate members, which are aligned with one another to form a passage through the sprung gate. In one aspect, the first endless elastic band in positioned inward a distance from the outer sides of the first and second gate members and spaces the first gate member a distance apart from the second gate member thereby defining a channel having a bottom defined by the first endless elastic band.

Expanding gate valve
An expanding gate valve and method is provided for bidirectional sealing capability against pressure, whether the direction of pressure is upstream or downstream. The bidirectional annular seat seals against the gate assembly against pressure from the normal wellhead direction, typically upstream. For sealing against pressure in the opposite direction, the seat is formed with an annular recess extending radially outwardly from the central bore of the annular seat so that a flex portion of the seat formed between the recess and the front sealing face of the annular seat at the central bore flexes toward the gate assembly against this pressure. The front face of the bidirectional seat forms a raised annular sealing portion on the flex portion of the seat adjacent the central bore to provide sealing contact with the gate assembly in the expanded condition when the flex portion flexes toward the gate assembly.

SEALING DEVICE
This invention relates to a fluid sealing device comprising a sealing member comprising a first surface and an opposite second surface. A first region of the first surface for forming a first seal about an aperture of a process component containing a fluid, and an inner region of the first surface to be exposed to the fluid via the process component aperture. A restraining member providing a support surface facing the second surface, a perimeter portion of the restraining member interfacing with a first region of the second surface, the first regions of the first and second surfaces corresponding with a first region of the sealing member. An inner region of the second surface spaced from the support surface to form a cavity between the inner region of the second surface and the supporting surface at least in an unpressurised condition. The inner regions of the first and second surfaces corresponding with an inner region of the sealing member, the inner region of the sealing member moveable towards and away from the support surface under action of a pressure of the fluid on the inner region of the first surface to provide an indication of the pressure.
Gate valve sealing ring flow guide
A valve and associated components and methods, and a container including such a valve. The valve can include a flow guide to guide flow of material away from a sealing engagement between sealing members of the valve. The flow guide assists in preventing ingress of material between the sealing members to maintain proper function of the valve.
