A multifunction valve includes a valve body defining an inlet, and outlet and an interior chamber. A flow control gate is disposed within the interior chamber and is rotatable through an arcuate range of positions relative to the outlet providing a high level of precision control of a fluid flow rate through the multifunction valve. A method of modulating a fluid flow rate includes directing fluid flow through a multifunction valve from an inlet to an outlet, the multifunction valve including a flow control gate, adjusting the flow rate through the multifunction valve by rotating a control shaft to position the flow control gate to variably occlude the outlet of the fluid control valve.

An electrically operated fluid flow valve arrangement (50) includes an electrically powered magnetic field generator (42), a valve body (44) defining a valve chamber (7), an inlet port (5), an outlet port (20)and a valve member (18)located in the chamber (7). The valve member(18) is movable between closed and open conditions relative to one of the ports (5, 20). The valve member (18) includes a permanent magnet (9). The arrangement (50) includes a switchable pole 46 formed of a ferromagnetic material. In use, in a first latched condition, the valve member (18) is retained by the switchable pole (46) in one of the closed or open conditions and,in a second latched condition, in the other of the closed or open conditions, the valve member (18) being moved from one latched condition to the other by operation of the generator (42).

FRONT-LOADING VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR MANIFOLD FOR PROCESSING FLUID SAMPLE
20220042608 · 2022-02-10 · ·

A valve assembly used in a manifold system for processing fluid samples includes a body, a valve member, and a coupling assembly. The body defines a fluid passage and a valve passage in communication with the fluid passage and receiving at least a portion of the valve member therein. The valve member is selectively movable over a range of travel between an open position, in which fluid can flow through the fluid passage, and a closed position, in which the valve member occludes the fluid passage. The coupling assembly includes a coupling member and a retention lug. The retention lug is connected to one of the body and the coupling member. The other of the body and the coupling member defines a lug raceway configured to removably receive the retention lug therein to removably mount the coupling member to the body with the valve member being movably retained therebetween.

DRIVE KEY FOR ROTATING EQUIPMENT ACCOMMODATING CENTER LINE MISALIGNMENT WHILE MINIMIZING HYSTERESIS

A rotary valve includes a first ball valve including a first stem extending from a first proximal stem end to a first distal stem end outward from the first ball valve. The first stem including a first slotted opening extending from the first distal stem end into the first stem. The rotary valve includes a second ball valve including a second stem extending from a second proximal stem end to a second distal stem end outward from the second ball valve. The second stem including a second slotted opening extending from the second distal stem end into the second stem, wherein the second stem extends towards the first stem. The rotary valve includes a drive key located within the first slotted opening and the second slotted opening. The drive key extending from the first slotted opening of the first ball valve to the second slotted opening of the second ball valve to operably connect the first ball valve to the second ball valve. The drive key has a non-uniform thickness.

Fluid throttling valve

A throttling valve that allows staged pressure drop increments upstream and/or downstream of a primary flow trim assembly within a valve body to help prevent cavitation and freezing effects. The flow trim assembly can be quickly and efficiently removed from the throttling valve (and repaired or replaced) without requiring disassembly of the throttling valve from a flow line or other fluid conduit, and without requiring removal of an automated actuator. A throttling valve body that allows direct mounting of actuators to the valve without the need for brackets and linkages.

Hydraulic low-torque valve conversion apparatus and method
11739857 · 2023-08-29 · ·

A conversion kit creates a redundant hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical control functionality for low-torque, quarter-turn plug valves in remote production environments (i.e., rural or subsea pipelines). The conversion kit comprises at least one custom end cap fitted to the valve and comprising a socket receiving a rotator attachment. Each rotator attachment is in turn connected to a crossover which connects to a bracket remotely actuated via hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical control. The linear movement of the bracket and the attached crossover[s] is converted to rotational force which is transmitted through the rotator attachments to the at least one valve.

Plug valve assembly

A plug valve assembly has a valve body with an inlet and an outlet each defining a fluid passageway in fluid communication with a cavity defined within the valve body. The valve body further has a collar defining a service opening extending upward from the valve body. A plug with a spindle top and a plug body is disposed within the cavity. The plug has an opening that is operable to obstruct the fluid passageway when it is in a closed position and to connect the inlet to the outlet when it is in an open position. The spindle top of the plug has a hexagonal outer profile and a through opening and adaptable to engage with a variety of actuating devices. A threaded cap is removably engaged with the collar of the valve body and is operable to retain the plug within the valve body cavity.

VALVES

A valve comprising: a valve body; and a valve stem disposed at least partially within the valve body, the valve stem comprising a sidewall defining a central lumen and at least one opening in the sidewall, wherein the valve is adapted to prevent fluid flow through the lumen when the at least one opening is disposed within the valve body and permit fluid flow through the lumen when the at least one opening is exposed from the valve body, and wherein the valve is essentially free of a spring.

Water control valve with offset valve core
11719346 · 2023-08-08 ·

A water control valve with offset valve core has a main body with a flowing slot, the circumferential wall of which is formed with a water inlet and outlet. An offset rotary valve core is configured offset inside the flowing slot and has a rotary shaft and a water stopping seat. The face of the water stopping seat faces the circumferential wall and has a sealing ring. When the water stopping seat rotates along with the offset rotary valve core and is aligned with the inlet, the sealing ring is pressed against the circumferential wall to close the inlet, thus forming the water stop mode. The rotary shaft and the circumferential wall of the flowing slot define a flowing space. The flow from the inlet must pass through the flowing space and exit through the outlet. A dialing component is used to connect and drive offset rotary valve core.
