Game controller comprising at least one removable adjusting element allowing adjustment of the stop angle of a pivoting control member of the controller
A game controller includes an assembled shell and at least one control member which passes through the assembled shell and includes, outside the assembled shell, a head for manipulating the control member. The head is pivotable in all directions from a rest position into which it returns in a rotationally elastic manner. The game controller further includes at least one adjusting element for adjusting the stop angle (α) of the control member and is able to be removably mounted on the control member and removed from the control member without disassembling the shell of the game controller. The control member is provided with the removable adjusting element tiltable in each tilt direction until it reaches a stop position in which the adjusting element abuts and allows the tilting of the control member to be blocked.
GAME CONTROLLER WITH ONBOARD CALIBRATION
A game controller with onboard calibration. The game controller includes lights that illuminate to prompt the user to interact with the game controller by pressing one or more triggers and/or by moving one or more joysticks in certain directions. The game controller uses the inputs it receives from the user to calibrate the trigger(s) and/or joystick(s). The software which performs this calibration is onboard the game controller. The game controller can be calibrated without having to rely on any game console. The game controller can be calibrated while being connected to a game console, such as an older game console, that does not provide any type of game controller calibration mode for that game controller.

An accessibility computer game controller includes a central control button on a round base and peripheral control buttons on the base surrounding the central control button. The peripheral control buttons can have distinct sizes and shapes. An analog stick unit is reciprocatingly engaged with the base and includes a control portion rotatable relative to the base.
ADJUSTABLE TENSION THUMBSTICK
A thumbstick for a user input device comprises an adjustable tensioning mechanism configured to modify a tilt tension of a tiltable post. The tiltable post is operable to output a control signal based on a position of the tiltable post relative to a default position. The thumbstick comprises a cap with a cylindrical stem that defines a cavity. An engagement body is located within the cavity and contacts an engagement surface of the adjustable tensioning mechanism. The engagement body includes a cam surface disposed around an axis of the tiltable post. An adjustment body within the cavity of the stem comprises a follower that contacts the cam surface. The follower is configured to traverse the cam surface when the cap is rotated to thereby translate the engagement body along the axis of the tiltable post and adjust the tilt tension of the tiltable post.
ADJUSTABLE TENSION THUMBSTICK
A thumbstick for a user input device comprises an adjustable tensioning mechanism configured to modify a tilt tension of a tiltable post. The thumbstick comprises a cap with a cylindrical stem that defines a first cavity. Abase is moveable with the tiltable post and comprises a cylindrical portion extending into the first cavity. The cylindrical portion defines a second cavity and comprises a protuberance projecting into the second cavity. An adjustment body within the second cavity comprises a recessed slot and a contacting surface at a distal end. The slot is configured to engage the protuberance to adjust the tilt tension of the tiltable post.
Method and apparatus for processing stimulus signals generated by accessory devices
A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, determining first and second stimulus signals from first and second input functions of first and second gaming equipment devices used by first and second users to control a video game. A first contest between the first and second users is based on first and second game action results determined based on the first and second stimulus signals. A relative performance between the first and second users is determined from a comparison of first and second measures of the first and second stimulus signals. A second contest between the first user and the second user is based on the relative performance. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

This disclosure includes an assist function enabling method and apparatus, a device, and a readable storage medium, and relates to the field of games. In the method, target data that is generated according to a target operation in a game application is obtained. A game assist function is enabled in response to the target data matching a trigger condition of an assist function trigger. The target data indicates an execution completion status of the target operation, and the game assist function is configured to assist in executing the target operation. Further, the target operation is automatically executed, in the game application, according to the game assist function in a case that a game operation meets an execution condition of the target operation.
