Combination device for lockout and partial stroke test of valve actuators

The disclosure relates to exemplary embodiments for a combination device configured to effect lockout and partial stroke testing for an actuator having a piston rod providing linear motion and connected to a guide block in an actuator, wherein the combination device includes a device housing having a housing bore, wherein the device housing is adapted to mount on a receptacle on the actuator that aligns a device housing bore coaxially to the translatory motion axis of the piston rod; an extension rod attached to the guide block connected to the piston rod; at least two slides or a profiled bore index sleeve disposed in the device housing that when engaged provide means of restraining the movement of the extension rod in a manner that prevents said extension rod and a driver element of the actuator from rotating, relative to an actuator housing; a housing cover mounted over the device housing wherein the housing cover protects and retains the extension rod, and the slides or the index sleeve in the device housing and a spring biased safety pin mounted on the housing cover wherein the spring biased safety pin is configured to prevent unintended actuation of the actuator; and a tubular cover to protect the extension rod.

SAFETY FAUCET FOR HOT WATER

A safety faucet includes: a discharge pipe which has a hot water discharge path formed therein; a packing which moves up and down inside the discharge pipe; an operation shaft which is fixed to the packing; an upper cap which covers an upper opening of the discharge pipe, and has an upper cap through-hole formed in a center thereof to expose an upper end of the operation shaft; a lever which is rotatably coupled to the upper end of the operation shaft, and has an auxiliary operation hinge hole formed in an upper end thereof; and a safety member from which an auxiliary operation hinge shaft inserted into the auxiliary operation hinge hole is protruded, and has a cap contacting part formed in a lower end thereof to meet with an upper surface of the upper cap to form a support point.

Inlet valve locking system for inflatable underwater equipment
20190107223 · 2019-04-11 ·

A valve locking system for inflatable underwater equipment includes an inlet valve positioned inside the main body of a power unit, and a retaining element of the valve also positioned in the main body perpendicularly to the actuation and mounting axis of the valve.

Fire extinguisher manifold with safety interlock cross-bolt

A fire extinguisher system that generally provides a passive ability to prevent at least some inadvertent discharge events. The fire extinguisher system having a passively activated (turned on) and deactivated (turned off) sliding safety interlock cross shaft structure. The system interlock operation is generally performed without an operator performing any new or additional tasks in addition to those tasks that are typically implemented during installation, repair, and/or maintenance tasks. The safety interlock shaft is generally shaped and positioned to prevent inadvertent discharge of fire extinguishing chemicals via propellant when the outlet does not have either of a discharge conduit (pipe, tubing, or the like) or the anti-recoil plug properly installed therein.

Butterfly Valve

Exemplary embodiments are directed to butterfly valves, generally including a body assembly and handle assembly. The body assembly generally includes a body, a disc rotationally disposed inside an opening of the body, a cog, and a stem passing through the disc and the body. The handle assembly generally includes a handle body and a force ring. The stem can be rotationally interlocked relative to the disc and the handle assembly. The cog and the force ring can engage to rotationally secure the disc relative to the body. The handle assembly can include a lever and a grip, the force ring, the lever and the grip being pivotally secured relative to each other. The body can include a male radial protrusion and the body assembly can include a liner with a female radial groove. Methods of assembling and positioning a butterfly valve are also provided.

Single use valves
10088072 · 2018-10-02 · ·

A single use valve structured to allow only one fluid or gas or powder filling or extraction operation of a container such that neither a subsequent refilling nor a subsequent extraction operation can be performed. The single use valve may be used for extraction of ink from, or filling of ink to, a security ink container.

Valve control mechanism and method

A valve controller includes a housing, and a lever extending from the housing. The lever includes a protrusion rigidly attached to the lever, and the lever is biased to an initial position. A switch has an open and a closed position. A linkage is pivotally connected to the switch, and the linkage includes a centrally disposed slot configured to receive the protrusion such that movement of the switch controls movement of the linkage and the lever such that moving the switch to the closed position closes a valve controlled by the lever regardless of a position of the lever.

Hydraulic valve with adjustable locking device

A hydraulic valve includes a sliding control member that delimits at least one constantly adjustable diaphragm. The sliding control member is configured to be moved in the direction of a longitudinal axis. The hydraulic valve further includes a locking device with a locking member that is configured to be moved counter to the force of a first spring transversely relative to the longitudinal axis. The hydraulic valve further includes at least one catch contour in which the locking member is configured to be engaged in such a positive-locking manner that the sliding control member is releasably retained in a catch position that is associated with the respective catch contour. The position of at least one catch contour is constantly adjustable in such a manner that the free cross-sectional surface-area of the at least one diaphragm is constantly adjustable in the associated catch position.

Butterfly valve handle
