Top-loaded rotary valve with elliptical sealing

A top-loaded rotary valve with elliptical sealing is provided. The valve includes a valve cartridge with a lower cylinder portion having a first flow opening, an upper cylinder portion having a second flow opening, a rotor, and a gasket positioned between respective ends of the lower cylinder portion and the upper cylinder portion. The rotor includes a stem and a disc configured to rotate within the cartridge. The lower cylinder portion and the upper cylinder portion are mated to the gasket along a plane that defines an ellipse along the respective cylinder ends. The disc has perimeter that is similar to the ellipse, and the rotor rotates between a closed position in which the elliptical perimeter of the disc is coincident with the gasket to prevent flow between the flow openings and an open position that permits flow between the flow openings.

The present invention relates to a hydraulic built-in valve (100) for a valve block (10), comprising a sleeve (110) that is introducible into the valve block, and a closing element (130). The sleeve comprises a first end region (111) which is connectable to a control cover. The sleeve comprises a second end region (112) which is at the opposite end from the first end region and is introducible into the control cover, wherein the second end region has, in a frontal end, a frontal opening (114), and the sleeve forms, between the first end region and the second end region, a shell (117), having an outer side and an inner side, and the shell of the sleeve has a multiplicity of shell apertures (119) separated by shell webs (118). The closing element is arranged movably in the sleeve, wherein the closing element is movable between a first position and a second position, and wherein, in the first position, a fluidic connection between the frontal opening and the shell apertures is opened up, and, in the second position, a fluidic connection between the frontal opening and the shell apertures is closed off, wherein the shell apertures extend along the shell in the direction from the first end region to the second end region and form an aperture height, and the shell apertures have a height/width ratio of at least 3:1.

The present disclosure relates to an adjustable covering trim for covering a valve concealed behind a finishing wall and which is adapted to accommodate different valve installations. The trim includes a decorative outer frame to be mounted on a finishing wall, a handle which is rotatably coupled thereon and an articulated cartridge adaptor or interface which can be releasably coupled with an internal surface of the hollow handle. The adaptor is further adapted to be mounted on a cartridge distal end of the valve so that both the cartridge distal end and the articulated cartridge adaptor can rotate with the hollow handle upon rotation of the hollow handle about a cartridge centerline. The articulated cartridge adaptor is articulable relatively to the cartridge centerline. The covering trim may further include a temperature control mechanism and means to easily mount a decorative cover to the finishing wall.

The valve cartridge comprises a cartridge housing configured to allow fluid to flow therethrough from a cartridge inlet to a cartridge outlet; and a valve plunger slidably mounted in the cartridge housing and configured to selectively allow fluid to flow from the cartridge inlet to the cartridge outlet. The valve cartridge is configured to be inserted through the aperture for removably mounting the valve cartridge within the valve housing, in a mounted position, such that the valve inlet is in communication with the cartridge inlet, the cartridge outlet is in communication with the valve outlet and fluid is able to flow from the valve inlet to the valve outlet through the valve cartridge.

The present disclosure provides a control valve including a camshaft and one or more poppet assemblies. In general, the one or more poppet assemblies can include a poppet carriage that is moveable by the camshaft between a first end position and a second end position, a poppet coupled to the poppet carriage, and a spring configured bias the poppet carriage radially away from the camshaft, toward the first end position, in a first radial direction relative to a camshaft axis. According to some aspects, the camshaft can include a cam lobe that engages the poppet carriage to move the poppet carriage from the first end position toward the second end position in a second radial direction that is opposite the first radial direction.

The second seal (20) is at least partially seated on the first seal (18) or vice versa. The valve cartridge (11) provides effective scaling of the pipe (102).
