BIOMETRIC FEEDBACK CAPTURED DURING VIEWING OF DISPLAYED CONTENT
A method is provided, including: rendering a view of a virtual environment through a virtual reality (VR) headset; detecting a gaze direction of a user that wears the VR headset; detecting a gaze focus depth of the user that wears the VR headset; detecting an electroencephalography (EEG) signal of the user that wears the VR headset; using the gaze direction and gaze focus depth of the user to identify a virtual object in the virtual environment as being actively viewed by the user; using the EEG signal to determine a concentration of the user upon the identified virtual object; responsive to determining the concentration of the user upon the identified virtual object, then rendering a graphical indicator applied to the virtual object in the view of the virtual environment.
System, method and handheld controller for multi-player gaming
Embodiments of the invention relate to systems and methods for multi-player gaming. Some embodiments relate to systems having an improved communications infrastructure and improved handheld game controllers, while other embodiments relate to improvements in handling large numbers of players in the multi-player game when played in a game arena with a single large display screen showing the multi-player game images. In one particular embodiment, a system is provided that has a game server controlling a display system to display the multi-player game on the large screen and a plurality of game controllers. Each game controller has a secondary display means for providing a secondary game display and input means for receiving player input. The system further comprises communication means for enabling communication between the game server and each of the plurality of game controllers. The plurality of game controllers are located in proximity to the large display screen such that it is visible to game players manipulating the game controllers while playing the multi-player game.

Electronic device and method of automatically triggering hot key using display image
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes: a display panel, a display controller, and a host. The display controller is configured to control displaying of the display panel. The host is electrically connected to the display controller. The host executes an application to render a display image, and transmits the display image to the display controller through an image-transmission channel between the host and the display controller. The display controller detects whether pixels in a specific area of the display image satisfy a predetermined condition. In response to the pixels in the specific area satisfying the predetermined condition, the display controller triggers a virtual input signal, and transmits the virtual input signal to the host through a data-transmission channel between the host and the display controller, so that the host executes a specific operation corresponding to the virtual input signal.
