Example game systems and methods are described. In one implementation, a sensing device determines an identity of a game piece in a physical space and detects a movement action associated with the game piece. A computing device calculates a distance and direction associated with the movement action and determines a result of the movement action based on the distance, the direction, and the identity of the game piece.

In some implementations, a method of improved pathfinding is performed at a virtual agent operating system including non-transitory memory and one or more processors coupled with the non-transitory memory. The method includes: determining an initial path for a virtual agent to a target destination based at least in part on a navigation mesh of an XR environment; actuating locomotive elements of the virtual agent in order to move the virtual agent according to the initial path; while moving according to the initial path, detecting a node of a navigation graph; in response to detecting the node of the navigation graph: obtaining navigation information from the node of the navigation graph; and determining an updated path from the node to the target destination based at least in part on the navigation mesh and the navigation information; and actuating the locomotive elements of the virtual agent according to the updated path.

Augmented reality tag recognition and game miniature identification system and process for uniquely identifying game miniatures corresponding to character attributes in a role
11524238 · 2022-12-13 ·

An augmented reality (AR) tag recognition and game miniature identification system is disclosed that uniquely identifies game miniatures and character attributes that correspond to the game miniatures in a tabletop role-playing game. The AR tag recognition and game miniature identification system is used with a physical game miniature base system and involves uses of a marker or tag to uniquely identify game miniatures by way of an AR system. The AR tag recognition and game miniature identification system relies on the simple, cheap, addition of the tag as part of the miniature base to allow for easy visual identification.

GAME SYSTEM, GAME METHOD, GAME PROGRAM, AND GAME SERVER

Provided is a game system where a player of a game can contribute to a team by an action. The game system includes a character action control unit that controls actions of a player character in the play field based on instructions of the player, a point giving control unit configured to add a number of points associated with a neutral character to a point value associated with the player character in response to the neutral character reaching a predetermined state relative to the player character, a scoring unit configured to convert the point value associated with the player character to a score of its team when the player character is located in a predetermined area provided in the play field and completes a score transferring operation, and an outcome determination unit configured to determine an outcome of the game by comparing scores associated with different teams.

Method and apparatus for selecting accessory in virtual environment, device, and readable storage medium

This application discloses a method and apparatus for selecting an accessory in a virtual environment. The method includes: displaying a first virtual environment interface; receiving a trigger operation on an accessory switching control; displaying a candidate accessory zone in a local peripheral region of the accessory switching control according to the trigger operation; receiving a selection operation on a target gun accessory in n gun accessories; and displaying a second virtual environment interface according to the selection operation. The accessory switching control is displayed superimposed on a picture. When the trigger operation on the accessory switching control is received, the candidate accessory zone is displayed in the peripheral region of the accessory switching control, and the n gun accessories of the same accessory type are displayed in the candidate accessory zone.
