Pipe Coupling Make Up Assembly
A pipe coupling make up assembly and a method of making up a pipe coupling between tubular sections at a well. A first tubular section in a tubular string at the well is gripped and supported in the assembly. A second tubular is supported and moved to locate a first end of the second tubular section into an expanded first end of the first tubular section. A swaged die is arranged around the first tubular section and forced along the first tubular section towards the second tubular section. This causes the expanded first end to move radially inwards under elastic and plastic deformation and create a metal to metal seal between the first ends of the first and second tubular sections.
Crimp coupling for connecting a hose to a fitting
A crimp coupling includes a crimping ferrule for connecting a hose to a fitting. The fitting includes an outwardly projecting stop collar and a groove which extends circumferentially around the fitting at a constant axial distance to the stop collar. The crimping ferrule, which can be slid onto the fitting, includes a flange, a tapering hinge section, and a cylindrical section. A distance between the stop collar and the groove of the fitting is dimensioned such that the flange, when abutting the stop collar, has a lower edge facing away from the stop collar above the groove. Due to a diameter reduction of the cylindrical section and the tapering hinge section, during crimping, the flange is pivoted such that the lower edge of the flange is turned into the groove by the pivotal movement of the flange.
Double pipe and method for manufacturing same
A double pipe includes an outer pipe, an inner pipe, a fin member and a sealing part. The outer pipe has a plurality of outer crimping parts projecting to an inner diameter side and aligned in at least one of a lengthwise direction and a circumference direction. The inner pipe is arranged on an interior of the outer pipe with a flow path gap being defined between the outer pipe and the inner pipe. The inner pipe has a plurality of inner crimping parts aligned in the at least one of the lengthwise direction and the circumference direction and overlapping the outer crimping parts. The fin member is arranged on the interior of the inner pipe and held by the inner crimping parts. The sealing part seals between the outer pipe and the inner pipe.
PIPELINE SUPPLEMENTAL CONTAINMENT WALL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
In one embodiment, a pipeline system includes a pipe fitting to be secured to a pipe segment including tubing that defines a pipe bore and a fluid conduit implemented in a tubing annulus of the tubing, in which the pipe fitting includes a fitting grab notch implemented on an outer surface of the pipe fitting, and a supplemental containment wall assembly to be deployed at the pipe fitting. The supplemental containment wall assembly includes a containment wall shell to be secured circumferentially around the pipe fitting to define a fitting annulus that is sealed at least between the outer surface of the pipe fitting and an inner surface of the containment wall shell to facilitate providing multi-wall containment in the pipeline system and a shell grab tab implemented on the inner surface of the containment wall shell, in which the shell grab tab matingly interlocks with the fitting grab notch on the outer surface of the pipe fitting to facilitate securing the containment wall shell to the pipe fitting.
Hydraulic Coupling System
A hydraulic coupling system is configured to couple a hydraulic hose to a hydraulic cylinder and includes: a compressive adapter assembly including: a first adapter portion configured to receive a portion of the hydraulic hose, and a second adapter portion configured to engage an inlet tube of the hydraulic cylinder, wherein a first tube portion of the inlet tube of the hydraulic cylinder is configured to be received within a portion of the hydraulic hose; and a compressive sleeve assembly configured to engage the compressive adapter assembly and radially compress the first adapter portion of the compressive adapter assembly onto an outer surface of the portion of the hydraulic hose, thus compressing an inner surface of the portion of the hydraulic hose onto the first tube portion of the inlet tube of the hydraulic cylinder.
PIPE COUPLING MEMBER
A pipe coupling member includes a coupling body defining a part of a fluid passage, and a support member disposed inside the coupling body. A valve accommodating space is defined inside the coupling body at a position forward of the support member, and a valve element is disposed in the valve accommodating space to open and close the fluid passage. The coupling body is formed from a thin-walled pipe material and has a deformed recess formed by plastically deforming radially inward a portion of the coupling body that covers an annular groove of the support member. The deformed recess has a locking element latching surface along a support surface of the annular groove. When the pipe coupling member is connected to an associated pipe coupling member, the locking element latching surface is latched by a locking element of the associated pipe coupling member.
Electrical isolator fitting
An isolator fitting for an opening in a metallic rib of an aircraft wing. The isolator fitting has first isolator mountable to the rib to position a first isolator opening in alignment with the opening of the rib. A second isolator is mountable to the rib and has a nut housing segment defining a second isolator opening to be positioned in alignment with the opening of the rib. A conduit extends between a first end and a second end, and a nut is mountable about an outer surface of the conduit to abut against the first isolator and mount the conduit thereto. The conduit is positionable to extend through the opening of the rib and through the first and second isolator openings to position the nut within the nut housing segment of the second isolator such that the nut housing segment is positioned between the nut and the rib.
HYDRAULIC CRIMP PRESSURE FEEDBACK METHODS
A crimping system for crimping fittings on hoses is disclosed and includes an interface and a crimper machine. The crimper machine is configured to analyze collected information based on identified hose and fitting properties; perform a crimping operation based on the collected information and the identified hose and fitting properties; measure crimping characteristics for the crimping operation; generate an alert based on the measured crimping characteristics and the collected information; and provide the alert to the interface.
Pressing tool for pressing fittings for producing pipe connections and method for pressing fittings
A pressing tool for pressing fittings to produce pipe connections, with two opposing pressing jaws, each having a pressing section and a lever section, and having a retaining element for swivel connecting the pressing jaws, wherein the pressing sections form a receiving section and wherein pressing the lever sections apart causes the receiving section to close. An actuator spindle, a spindle nut and at least two actuator levers are provided, and each actuator lever is swivel connected at one end to the lever section of a pressing jaw and each actuator lever is swivel connected at another end to the spindle nut. A method for pressing fittings for the production of pipe connections is also disclosed.
