Press fitting for a threaded connection and method for attaching a fitting to a threaded connection
A fitting for attaching to a threaded connection of a pipe, in particular a water pipe, includes a basic body, a threaded portion, and a sealing body arranged on the threaded portion. The basic body has a pressing surface on the side situated opposite to the threaded portion. Also disclosed is a method for attaching a fitting to a threaded connection of a pipe.
Pipe coupling
A coupling system between tubulars such as tubing, pipes, casing and liner for location in a well bore in which profiled sections (46, 50) on the tubulars (12, 14) are connected using a radially applied force to form a metal to metal sealed connection. Embodiments are provided in which the profiled sections are grooved and/or tapered, additional profiles are provided to prevent relative rotation of the tubulars, the radial force is applied inwardly, outwardly or in both directions, and a connector is used as an additional tubular member to form the coupling.
Method for producing a pipeline arrangement, and pipeline arrangement
A method for manufacturing a pipe conduit arrangement including sticking a pipe stub onto a pipe conduit at least up to the flush state of the of the flange section end-face and the pipe conduit end-face, fixing the pipe conduit in the pipe stub in a press fit which is produced by the radial widening of the pipe conduit, and axially clamping the arisen pipe conduit units by way of clamping the flange sections of the pine stubs into the nine conduit arrangement. Also described is a pipe conduit arrangement.
Method and kit for joining a tubular member and a pipeline for conveying corrosive products
A method of joining a tubular member and a pipeline configured to convey corrosive products comprises preparing a tubular member with an inner seat; inserting the end of a pipeline inside the inner seat; inserting a sleeve of corrosion-resistant material inside the end of the pipeline; inserting an expandable mandrel inside the sleeve; and expanding the expandable mandrel to join the end of the pipeline and the tubular member, and seal the sleeve and the pipeline to protect parts of the pipeline, sensitive to corrosive products, via the sleeve.
UNITIZED MALE HOSE FITTING
A fitting assembly comprises a male coupling having a male thread and an aperture defining an inner circumferential surface of the male coupling. The inner circumferential surface includes a plurality of spaced apart grooves. A tail piece is at least partially received in the aperture of the male coupling. A hose is received and compressed in a space formed between the inner circumferential surface of the male coupling and an outer circumferential surface of the tail piece. The hose is deformed into the plurality of the spaced apart grooves formed in the inner circumferential surface of the male coupling to form an interference fit therebetween.
Construction of pipes
An elongate hollow structure and method of constructing the hollow structure is described, whereby the hollow structure includes a radially inner portion and a radially outer portion adapted to be merged together to form a tubular wall structure. The method includes providing the radially inner portion, providing the radially outer portion about the radially inner portion, wherein a space exists between the radially inner and outer portions, the space containing a gas therein, and expanding the inner portion. The gas within the space between the inner and outer portions is arranged to be expelled as the inner portion is expanded.
Underwater pipe and connector assembly and method of assembling an underwater pipe and a connector
An underwater pipe and connector assembly includes an underwater pipe having a pipe body and an annular connecting end section, a connector fixed in the connecting end section, and at least one reinforcing layer having a first fixed cover section fused to and fixedly covering the connecting end section, and a second fixed cover section fused to and fixedly covering an outer circumferential surface of the pipe body immediately adjacent the connecting end section. An outer coil is embedded between the first fixed cover section and the connecting end section and between the second fixed cover section and the outer circumferential surface of the pipe body immediately adjacent the connecting end section.
GARDEN HOSE WITH METAL SHEATH
A garden hose with an outer flexible sheath of spirally wound and linked turns of sheet material, an inner tube of flexible polymer inside the sheath and end couplers with nipples press fit into ends of the tube and connector mechanisms connecting the couplers to the outer sheath. Each connector mechanism has inner and outer press fit shells at the end of the sheath, with flared ends separated by a washer.
Hybrid Fluid-Flow Fitting Assembly
A hybrid fluid-flow assembly having a base fitting that has been formed by axial load bulge forming from a sheet of metal, and a custom fitting that has been machined from a shaped-memory alloy. The input port of the custom fitting is connected to the output port of the base fitting by an interference fit. The interference fit may be formed by cooling the custom fitting to a temperature below its transition temperature, deforming the custom fitting so that the diameter of an inlet port is slightly larger than an output port on the base fitting, installing the input port of the custom fitting on the output port of the base fitting, and allowing the custom fitting to warm to room temperature. The shaped-memory alloy swages and coins the outer surface of the base fitting at the interface of the ports, thereby forming a compressive, interference fit.
Couplings for expandable tubular
An expandable tubular for use in a wellbore includes: a pin formed at a first longitudinal end of the expandable tubular; a box formed at a second longitudinal end of the expandable tubular; a tubular body connecting the pin and the box; and an elastomeric seal disposed in a groove of the box. Each of the pin and box has: a torque shoulder; and a thread. The pin has an asymmetric protrusion formed on an inner surface thereof.
