Heat and fire resistant gel seal

A combination seal connects a filter or an equipment component to a base. The combination seal includes a seal material and flecks or particles made of intumescent material interspersed within the seal material. The flecks or particles of intumescent material undergo a chemical change when exposed to flames or heat and expand to maintain seal effectiveness and longevity without compromise.

A coupling for joining pipe elements has segments surrounding a central space with cusps which engage lobes of a seal to maintain the segments in spaced apart relation in a preassembled state. While the coupling is in the preassembled state the pipe elements may be inserted into the central space without disassembling the coupling, and portions of the seal adjacent to attachment members on the segments seat within a channel defined by the segments between the cusps. The lobes of the seal contact a second surface of the shoulders of the segments adjacent to the attachment members when the segments are in spaced relation.

Coupling Having Rotation Limited Segments
20220146022 · 2022-05-12 ·

A pipe coupling has two segments with angularly oriented action surfaces in facing relationship. The action surfaces induce relative rotation between the segments when the segments are drawn together to engage the pipe elements being joined. Attachment elements on each segment, in the form of lugs, accommodate adjustable fasteners which draw the segments together when tightened. Angularly oriented support surfaces on the lugs engage one another and react the fastener force. Stop surfaces are positioned on the lugs adjacent to the support surfaces. Engagement between the stop surfaces limits the relative rotation between the segments.

Pre-assembled pipe coupling with manually manipulatable segments

A pre-assembled pipe coupling (11) includes a gasket (200), a housing (12) surrounding the gasket, and a fastener (20). The housing has three segments sequentially coupled to each other to define an insertion boundary. A first segment (12c) includes a first mount (18) extending lateral in a first direction from the wall and having a plurality of first lateral walls that define a first aperture (22), and a second mount (18) extending laterally in a second direction from the wall, the second mount having a plurality of second lateral walls that define a second aperture (22). A second segment (12a) includes a first hook (14) disposed in the first aperture and a first tab (16) defining a first fastener aperture. A third segment (12b) includes a second hook (14) disposed in the second aperture and a second tab (16) defining a second fastener aperture. The fastener is disposed through the first fastener aperture and the second fastener aperture.

Tightening device comprising a belt and a sealing ring

A belt has a sealing ring disposed in an annular recess of the belt and two tightening lugs born by the ends of the belt. The edges of the recess form wedging steps for the edges of the sealing ring which substantially occupy the entire width of the recess. The ends of the belt exhibit a sealing arrangement which includes lateral tabs, that are formed at the second end and which extend widthwise on the belt, from one edge of the belt to the recess such that each lateral tab includes a part of one of the wedging steps.

THICK-WALL COMPRESSION FITTING
20220120364 · 2022-04-21 ·

A thick-wall compression pipe fitting, comprising: a thick-wall fitting body for connecting arranged between two thick-wall steel pipe bodies for connection, wherein a sealing ring, a positioning retainer and a teeth ring is disposed between said thick-wall fitting body and said thick-wall steel pipe bodies. Said thick-wall fitting body includes a middle connecting section, a first flared section and a second flared section extending to both sides to adopt a thick wall metal pipe. A special crimping tool is used to deform the fitting body for crimping to compress the socket section of the fitting body having a sealing ring and a high-strength teeth ring, so that the sealing ring in the socket section groove seals the steel pipe to stop leakage, wherein the high-strength teeth ring shrinks and firmly fastens the steel pipe so that the connection between the fitting body and the steel pipe can be completed instantly.

Coupling Having Seal with Retracting Center Leg

A coupling for joining pipe elements has segments surrounding a central space with cusps which engage lobes of a seal to maintain the segments in spaced apart relation in a preassembled state. While the coupling is in the preassembled state the pipe elements may be inserted into the central space without disassembling the coupling, and portions of the seal adjacent to attachment members on the segments seat within a channel defined by the segments between the cusps. When the seal is compressed between the segments and the pipe elements to form a joint the seal deforms so as to withdraw a center leg of the seal from the flow path defined within the pipe elements.
