Quick Installation Coupling
The present disclosure relates to an installation ready housing type pipe coupling for creating a sealed connection between coaxial groove ended pipes, a hold open clip for the coupling, and other modifications and improvements thereof. The coupling comprises a first and second housing segments creating a cavity, a gasket provided within the cavity, a first and second bolts and nuts connecting the hosing segments at opposite ends, and a hold open clip. The first nut is affixed to the first bolt. The second nut can be adjusted along the second bolt. The hold open clip helps to attach the two housing segments in the preassembled state while keeping the coupling open. The hold open clip may also indicate a proper installation of the coupling.
ELECTRICAL ISOLATOR
An electrical isolator includes a first fluid-carrying member and a second fluid-carrying member spaced apart from the first fluid-carrying member in an axial direction and a resistive, semi-conductive or non-conductive component located between the first and second fluid-carrying members. The component is adapted to convey fluid flowing from the first fluid-carrying member to the second fluid-carrying member. The isolator also include a first fluid sealing member provided between the first fluid-carrying member and the component, a second fluid sealing member provided between the second fluid-carrying member and the component, and a reinforcing composite encircling the first fluid-carrying member, the second fluid-carrying member and the resistive, semi-conductive or non-conductive component. A a radially inner portion of the component separates the first fluid-carrying member and the second fluid-carrying member by an axial distance. The first and second sealing members are located within the axial distance between the first and second fluid-carrying members.
Electrical Isolator
An electrical isolator comprising: a first fluid-carrying member and a second fluid-carrying member spaced apart from said first fluid-carrying member; a resistive, semi-conductive or non-conductive component located between said first and second fluid-carrying member, wherein said resistive, semi-conductive or non-conductive component is adapted to convey fluid flowing from said first fluid-carrying member to said second fluid-carrying member; wherein said first fluid-carrying member comprises a first annular projection extending radially outwardly, and said second fluid-carrying member comprises a second annular projection extending radially outwardly such that an annular cavity is formed between the first and second annular projections; wherein the electrical isolator further comprises: a layer of circumferentially wound fiber-reinforced polymer in the annular cavity; and a layer of helical wound fiber-reinforced polymer extending over the first annular projection, the annular cavity and the second annular projection.
System, method and apparatus for expansion coupling for pipes with sheathed grooves
A pipe system can include a coupling having an axis, axial ends and a bore. Each axial end can include a coupling spline groove formed in the bore, and a seal groove axially inboard of the coupling spline groove. The seal groove can be configured to house a seal. At least two pipes can be configured to be inserted into different axial ends of the coupling and be secured therein with retainers. Each pipe can include a pipe spline groove, a band groove axially adjacent to and radially shallower than the pipe spline groove, and a band mounted in the band groove.
PIPE COUPLING
A pipe coupling includes a sleeve and a clamping ring. The sleeve includes a flange at least one end. The clamping ring is mounted to the flange. The clamping ring carries a seal and includes two spaced apart bolt engagement portions. The clamping ring further includes two separate clamping ring portions that are removably connected together at a coupling portion of each respective separate clamping ring portion so that each clamping ring portion is separable from the other one. The two separate clamping ring portions function as a unitary ring when the coupling portions are brought into abutting contact such that the coupling portions are fixed relative to each other.
PIPE COUPLING
A pipe coupling for connecting two pipes, wherein the pipe coupling comprises at least one injection outlet for injecting lubricant. The invention further relates to a method, which is designed to be connected to a further pipe by way of such a pipe coupling, to a pipe union, to a method for injecting lubricant, and to a method for producing a pipe coupling.
EXTENDED RANGE ENCAPSULATION SHELL
A conduit coupling assembly having first and second sleeve members configured to be tightened to a fluid conduit, an arcuate radial split gasket configured to be positioned between the first and second sleeve members and the fluid conduit, the first sleeve member having an inwardly-facing arcuate radial surface with first and second arcuate portions and a third arcuate portion between the first and second arcuate portions that has a radius from the longitudinal axis of the pipe that is less than the radius of the first and second arcuate portions, and the second sleeve member having an inwardly-facing arcuate radial surface with first and second arcuate portions and a third arcuate portion between the first and second arcuate portions that has a radius from the longitudinal axis of the pipe that is less than the radius of the first and second arcuate portions.
Pipe coupling having double-threaded tightening fastener and associated methods
A pipe coupling for coupling adjacent pipe ends of a pair of pipes includes a sleeve, a sealing gasket operatively coupled with the sleeve adjacent an open end of the sleeve, and a clamping element for compressing the sleeve or the sealing gasket into tightened engagement with one of the pipe ends. The clamping element includes two bolt flanges nominally spaced apart by a gap and a double threaded fastening bolt with two external threaded portions, which engage with two corresponding fastening nuts having right-hand thread and left-hand thread, respectively. Accordingly, when the fastening bolt is rotated, both the fastening nuts move towards or away from one another, thereby rapidly moving the bolt flanges to shrink the gap and compress the clamping element or to expand the gap. As such, less time and labor are required to operate the pipe coupling in the field.
Column cover reveal
A column cover system includes a first column skin, a second column skin, and a column joint vertically connecting the first column skin and the second column skin. The column joint includes at least one monolithic column joint portion that defines an upper retaining ring and a lower retaining ring. When assembled, the first column skin is seated within the upper retaining ring and the second column skin is seated within the lower retaining ring.
Composite tubes for a fluid transport system
A method and apparatus for reducing an intensity of an electrical discharge that occurs within a fluid transport system in an aerospace vehicle. In one illustrative embodiment, an apparatus includes a transport member. The transport member is configured for use in the fluid transport system. The transport member includes a material configured to reduce voltages and currents, induced in response to an electromagnetic event, along the transport member.
