Restrained gasket for plastic pipes

A gasket for preventing the separation of a pipe joint formed between plastic pipes such as pipes manufactured from PVC. The invention provides an internally restrained pipe joint including a bell with a substantially V-shaped annular groove. The annular groove includes a front radial wall and a rear radial wall and a gasket seated in the annular groove. The gasket includes an inner radial face, an opening defined by the inner radial face and an outer radial face with a front radial section located adjacent to the front radial wall of the annular groove and a rear radial section located adjacent to the rear radial wall of the annular groove. A plurality of toothed, rigid restraining segments is at least partially embedded in the gasket.

A prefabricated part comprises a concrete body that has the form of a pipe section with two pipe ends and a pipe inner side. The pipe inner side is lined at least in some areas by a lining made of plastic material connected to the concrete body, and at least one of the pipe ends is covered at least in some areas by a molded part made of plastic material connected to the concrete body. At least the pipe end, which is covered at least in some areas, has a connecting joint in order to connect the pipe end to a pipe end of a further prefabricated part. The lining consists of a thermoplastic material and the molded part consists of a thermosetting plastic. The lining and the molded part are connected to each other in a sealed manner.

The socket or the pipe has a recess which houses the seal. The recess has a ridge in a base of the recess and the seal has a groove which extends around a radial periphery of the seal. The ridge fits into the groove to fool proof the installation, such that a standard non-conductive O-ring seal is more difficult to install in error.

Hose barb fittings and apparatuses described herein provide increased fluid-flow rates for cooling loops used for thermal control in computer system. A hose barb fitting comprises a fluid-flow passage that extends through the hose barb fitting from a first opening to a second opening. The ratio of the cross-sectional area of the fluid-flow passage to the cross-sectional area of the hose barb fitting is between 0.4 and 0.7, inclusive. When the hose barb fitting is fully seated within a housing structure, a specialized gasket acts as both a radial seal and a face seal. Also, a flange extending from the housing structure engages with a flange extending from the hose barb fitting to prevent the hose barb fitting from being unseated.
