Roller member for use in an apparatus for closing pittsburgh Seams associated with duct assemblies and other box-shaped members
A vertical Pittsburgh Seam closing apparatus having a base supporting surface, a track mechanism for moving a carriage assembly which holds seam forming members used to close a Pittsburgh Seam, a pair of upper and lower guide members for guiding the duct section into a proper vertical position, and upper and lower clamping members positioned inside the duct section and adjacent the inside portion of the Pittsburgh Seam to be closed, the upper guide members and clamping member being selectively movable and adjustable for accommodating different duct section lengths. In one embodiment, the seam forming assembly includes three roller members mounted in vertical arrangement to each other, one roller member being V-shaped in configuration and the other two roller members being substantially cylindrical in shape. The V-shaped roller member may also include one or more projecting members for forming dimples in the closing process to prevent shifting and/or slipping of the closed seam.
Foam core duct system protected by metal sleeves with integral flanges
This application relates to a duct system, including a duct section that includes a foam body having a first end face and a second end face, where the foam body defines a duct passage extending from the first end face to the second end face, and a sleeve that directly or indirectly covers the foam body, the first sleeve including a plurality of side walls, where at least one side wall has an integral end portion that is folded back to define at least a portion of an integral, peripheral coupling flange around an end face of the foam body.

Waveguide tube connection device and clamp for waveguide tube connection
A waveguide connecting apparatus including two waveguide connecting clamps each including a pair of clamp pieces positioned to oppose each other and sandwich outer peripheral portions of flanges positioned to oppose each other. A fastener pressing the pair of clamp pieces against the outer peripheral portions of the flanges. Each clamp piece includes two abutting members having first faces abutting against faces on the opposite side of faces that oppose each other of the flanges positioned to oppose each other. Second faces abutting against side faces of the waveguides, and third faces serving as tapered faces of the flanges, on the opposite side of the faces opposing each other. A pressing member with a substantially V-shaped cross section, having two inclined faces engaging with the respective third faces of the abutting members, and holding the two abutting members such that the two abutting members are respectively movable in the directions of inclination of the inclined faces with which the two abutting members respectively engage. The two waveguide connecting clamps are positioned such that directions in which the pairs of clamp pieces oppose each other intersect each other.

CORNER SEAL DEVICE FOR DUCTWORK FOR CONDITIONED AIR AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY OF SUCH DUCTWORK TO PREVENT AIR LEAKS
A corner seal device is disclosed for use in preventing unwanted air leaks in ductwork sections intended for directing conditioned air in heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems (i.e., HVAC systems). The corner seal device eliminates potential air leaks caused inter alia, by the flange members of the ductwork sections, and further, it avoids previously known costly expenses and loss of time to seal the unwanted air leaks created when the flange members of the ductwork sections are made and are prepared for assembly of the ductwork sections. A method of assembly of such ductwork sections incorporating the unique corner seal device of the invention, is also disclosed. A duct for directing conditioned air in heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems incorporating such ducts is also disclosed. A heating, ventilating and air conditioning system incorporating such unique corner seal device and related structures is also disclosed.
