Combination sheet metal hammer and duet stretcher device
A combination sheet metal hammer and duct stretcher device. The device is directed to the field of heating, ventilation and air conditioning and particularly to a duct assembly tool for drawing and pinching two pieces of duct work together.
ROLLER MEMBER FOR USE IN AN APPARATUS FOR CLOSING PITTSBURGH SEAMS ASSOCIATED WITH DUCT ASSEMBLIES AND OTHER BOX-SHAPED MEMBERS
A vertical Pittsburgh Seam closing apparatus having a base supporting surface, a track mechanism for moving a carriage assembly which holds seam forming members used to close a Pittsburgh Seam, a pair of upper and lower guide members for guiding the duct section into a proper vertical position, and upper and lower clamping members positioned inside the duct section and adjacent the inside portion of the Pittsburgh Seam to be closed, the upper guide members and clamping member being selectively movable and adjustable for accommodating different duct section lengths. In one embodiment, the seam forming assembly includes three roller members mounted in vertical arrangement to each other, one roller member being V-shaped in configuration and the other two roller members being substantially cylindrical in shape. The V-shaped roller member may also include one or more projecting members for forming dimples in the closing process to prevent shifting and/or slipping of the closed seam.

HEAT EXCHANGER GASKET
A method of affixing a gasket to a flange of a heat exchanger core includes aligning the gasket with the flange of the heat exchanger core. The gasket includes a tab extending outward from the gasket. The flange of the heat exchanger core is contacted with the gasket. The gasket is secured to the flange by bending the tab of the gasket around an outer edge of the flange and such that relative motion between the gasket and the flange is prevented by the tab.
Flange and method of attaching flange portions to duct members
A flange to be assembled to an end portion of a duct member includes a plurality of pre-fabricated fastener entry areas disposed in an inner wall member, and a plurality of first fastener indicators disposed on an outer wall member, wherein the pre-fabricated fastener entry areas are substantially aligned with the first fastener indicators, each of the plurality of first fastener indicators being sized to guide and each corresponding fastener entry areas being sized to receive a self-tapping screw fastener there through to fasten the wall members to the end portion of the duct member. The fastener entry areas and correspondingly aligned fastener indicators, respectively, may be spaced apart such that the fasteners can be inserted at regular intervals along the length of the flange and the length of the end of the duct member.

SEALED AND/OR REINFORCED FLANGED RING CONNECTOR FOR SINGLE- AND DOUBLE-WALL HVAC DUCTING
A flanged ring connector (50) for connecting adjacent ends of HVAC ducting (52) includes an insertion flange portion to engage within the interior of the ducting. A mating flange portion (56) extends laterally or transversely to the insertion flange portion (54). A seat (58) is formed along the mating flange portion (56) to receive and retain a seal (60) and/or a reinforcing member or bead (90).

Electrically isolating block and flange for rail-heating duct
An electrically isolating duct-connecting block for connecting two ducts, the duct-connecting block including a rigid, generally rectangular duct-like structure having upper and lower walls and side walls that match a cross-sectional size of a tie duct, the structure being made of an electrically nonconductive material. The block also includes a plurality of threaded fasteners embedded within the structure. Also disclosed is an electrically isolating nozzle-mounting block for mounting a nozzle to a tie duct, the nozzle-mounting block comprising a rigid flange-like structure having peripheral mounting holes and a central circular passage for conveying air to the nozzle, the structure being made of an electrically nonconductive material. The block also includes a plurality of threaded fasteners partially embedded within the structure. The blocks may be made of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene or any electrically and mechanically equivalent material.
