Spherical flange joint
According to one embodiment, a flange joint for joining a first pipe to a second pipe includes an adapter coupled to the first pipe. The adapter includes a convex surface. The flange joint also includes a gasket with a first concave surface and a second convex surface. The first concave surface of the gasket is matingly engageable with the convex surface of the adapter. The second convex surface is matingly engageable with the second pipe. The gasket is supported on the first pipe. The flange joint further includes a clamp that includes a concave surface that is matingly engageable with the second pipe to secure the gasket to the adapter.
Flexible alignment sealing coupling
A seal for a flexible alignment sealing coupling. The seal includes an annular member being symmetric about a longitudinal axis. The annular member has a radially inward facing surface extending an axial width between a first axial end and a second axial end. In a relaxed state of the seal, the radially inward facing surface has an asymmetric generally concave V-shaped cross section and is defined by a first section and a second section. The first section has a first seal taper angle measured relative to a line parallel to the longitudinal axis. The second section has a second seal taper angle measured relative to another line parallel to the longitudinal axis. The first seal taper angle is less than the second seal taper angle. Each of the first seal taper angle and the second seal taper angle is greater than zero degrees and less than 90 degrees.
Swivel joint
A swivel joint including a flange assembly and an inner joint that is configured to rotate with respect to the flange assembly. The flange assembly may include a first flange and a second flange that is secured to the first flange. The inner joint may have a main body and a radial extension extending outward from the main body with the radial extension positioned between the first flange and the second flange. A first thrust bearing may be positioned between the radial extension and the first flange, and a second thrust bearing may be positioned between the radial extension and the second flange. A first seal and a second seal may each be positioned between the flange assembly and the inner joint. A leak indicator may be positioned between the first seal and the second seal. The first and second thrust bearings may be caged bearings.
GIMBAL EXPANSION JOINT
The present invention provides a gimbal expansion joint for use in joining ducting. The gimbal expansion joint has a first clevis adapted to be secured to one end of a first piece of ducting, a second clevis adapted to be secured to an end of a second piece of ducting, and a gimbal arrangement to which the first and second devises are pivotably connected to form a universal joint between the ends of the pieces of ducting. The joint further has a flexible duct extending between the first and second clevises to form a passage for fluid communication between the ends of the first and second pieces of ducting. The flexible duct has a respective flange at each end. Each flange provides an axially-directed face across which a clamping load is applied to affix the flange to a corresponding axially-directed face of the respective clevis.
Large diameter pipe flexible connection
A flexible connection for use between a vertical, large diameter cold water conveying pipe and a floating platform that supports the cold water conveying pipe or another pipe to permit the pipe and the platform to rotate in roll and pitch directions relative to one another without imposing excessive bending moments or strain on the cold water pipe. The flexible connection also contains internal and external pressure across the connection. The flexible connection includes an articulation mechanism that interconnects the vertical cold water conveying pipe and the platform or a pipe on the platform, and a flexible, fluid impermeable bellows.
Conversion pipe arrangement, substrate processing apparatus, method of processing substrate, and method of manufacturing semiconductor device
There is provided a technique that includes: a first connector including a first opening including two longitudinally extending parallel sides and configured to provide a detachable connection to an opening of a first counterpart; and a second connector including a substantially circular second opening and configured to be connectable to an opening of a second counterpart; and a pipe including an internal space formed in a shape of a polyhedron and configured to allow fluid communication between the first opening and the second opening.
