Fluid connector with clamp and protection
A fluid-connection device capable of and intended for connecting a flexible pipe to a flexible or rigid pipe or enclosure in a biopharmaceutical assembly such as to provide fluid communication between two fluid spaces, including a first connector in fluid communication with the first fluid space, a second connector in fluid communication with the second fluid space, the first connector and the second connector optionally being coupled together in a coupling position, the first connector including a tubular nozzle which can be inserted in one end of the pipe, a pipe clamp being arranged around the end of the tube in order to clamp the pipe onto the tubular nozzle of the first connector, the second connector including protection elements which, in the coupling position, are positioned radially at least partially opposite the pipe clamp, whereby the pipe clamp cannot come into direct contact with external elements.
Fluid connector having integrated pipe clamping
A coupling device for sealingly coupling a first wall defining a flexible pipe (11) to a tubular nozzle (9) of a connector (1) in a biopharmaceutical assembly, the coupling device including the connector (1) including the tubular nozzle (9), on which one end of the pipe can be inserted along an axis A, a plurality of flexible tabs (3) extending from an intermediate area (7) of the coupling body toward the free end (1a) of the nozzle, an abutment clamp (16), a connection interface (6), a separate ring (2), axially movable between an inoperative position and an operative position, for covering the flexible tabs (3) such as to push same radially inward in order to press the pipe onto the nozzle in the operative position, the tabs extending substantially parallel to the axis (A) when the ring (2) is in the operative position.
CONNECTOR FOR FLEXIBLE HOSES AND METHOD FOR REALIZING A CONNECTION TO AT LEAST A FLEXIBLE HOSE BY USING THE CONNECTOR
Connector for flexible hoses, including a hollow main body, extending in a first axial direction and defining an element for coupling with a flexible hose. The hollow main body includes an outer lateral surface having at least one annular ramp-like element, adjacent to at least a circumferential annular cavity and defining a housing for a sealing element. The connector includes also at least one clamping element extending in the first axial direction and configured for applying, radially, a locking force on an outer surface of the flexible hose when the flexible hose is coupled with the hollow main body. The connector includes a connecting body extending around the hollow main body and to which at least a clamping element is fixed. At least one portion of the clamping element includes a curved surface, in radial direction.
