Tool for coupling fluid lines
09561584 · 2017-02-07 · ·

A swage or coupling tool is provided for use in coupling a fluid line to a compression fitting, a fluid coupler, or the like. The swage tool provides multiple degrees of freedom and/or multiple pivots or pivot joints to facilitate and maintain alignment of the jaws with the compression fitting during use of the swage tool to facilitate properly-aligned assembly of the compression fitting, and to limit bending or kinking of the fluid line when the fitting is being attached. The swage tool includes a pair of movable jaws, which may have stepped or rounded engagement surfaces, which may be forced against corresponding engagement surfaces of the compression fitting to securely assemble the fitting to the fluid line. The shape of the engagement surfaces facilitates properly-aligned assembly of the compression fitting, and limits bending or kinking of the fluid line when the fitting is being attached.

A tubing junction assembly may include a body, and a collar coupled to the body. The body may include a head portion, a base portion, and an intermediate portion. At least a portion of an outer surface of the body at the intermediate portion may define a cross-sectional width that tapers from the head portion to the base portion. The collar may have an inner surface defining a passage. A tubing may be stretched over the outer surface of the body with a proximal end portion of the tubing stretched over at least a portion of the outer surface of the body at the intermediate portion. The inner surface of the collar may be sleeved over a portion of the outer surface of the tubing and coupled to the collar such that the proximal end portion of the tubing is sandwiched and compressed between the body and the collar.

Connecting assembly for connecting hose segments together, and maple tree sap harvesting system provided with the same

A connecting assembly for operatively and fluidly connecting at least first and second hose segments together. The connecting assembly includes at least one insert portion, and corresponding bulge(s), securing device(s) and fluid passage(s). The securing device is removably mounted onto and displaceable about a portion of a given length span of the insert portion, and configured for operation between a first release mode, where the securing device being is drawn away from the bulge and thus an extremity of the hosing segment is releasable, and a second connecting mode, where the securing device is removably and selectively displaced over an outward overlapping of the extremity of the hosing segment extending over the bulge, so as to securely maintain said extremity of the hosing segment in place, operatively against the bulge and thus, prevent the first extremity of the first hosing segment from being removed from the bulge.

HOSE WITH METAL FITTING

A hose with a metal fitting includes a hose; a metal fitting including a metal-fitting cylindrical portion to which one end portion of the hose is connected; and a sleeve covering the hose and the metal-fitting cylindrical portion. The inside of the hose communicates with the inside of the metal fitting. The hose includes an inner-surface resin layer, a metal-wire reinforced layer, and an outer-surface resin layer which are lined up in order from the inner side of the hose. The inner-surface resin layer is formed of a single layer containing fluororesin. The sleeve includes a first cylindrical portion covering the metal-fitting cylindrical portion; and a second cylindrical portion which directly covers the hose and which is smaller in diameter than the first cylindrical portion. The length of the second cylindrical portion is 8 mm or more. The thickness of the second cylindrical portion is 1 mm or more. The hardness of the second cylindrical portion is measured in compliance with JISK6253 by Durometer Type A and is 70 or more and 95 or less. A material of the sleeve is thermoplastic elastomer or rubber. The material of the sleeve is the same as a material of the outer-surface resin layer.

Expandable hose

Provided is a hose including a first connector assembly including a regulator assembly, a second connector assembly, and a hose assembly coupled to the first and second connector assemblies. The hose assembly includes an inner hose member having first and second ends, an outer hose member having first and second ends, a first hose connector assembly coupled to the first ends of the inner hose member and outer hose member and the first connector assembly, and a second hose connector assembly coupled to the second ends of the inner hose member and outer hose member and the second connector assembly.

CONNECTION FOR A FLUID WITH A RING
20250327539 · 2025-10-23 ·

Connection for a fluid includes a hose configured for fluid to flow, has an outer layer of polymeric material, an inner layer of polymeric material, and at least one intermediate layer, interposed between the outer and inner layers, made from net, mesh, braid, spiral-wrapped wire, textile fibres, fabric, or non-woven fabric. A connector, in which the fluid is flowable is in fluidic communication with the hose. The hose is mounted around a male portion of the connector. A ring made of polymeric material, is mounted around the hose at the male portion of the connector. When mounted around the hose at the male portion, the ring is deformed and exerts compression on the hose because of such deformation.
