A fitting for a pipe includes a cylindrical sleeve including at least one observation through window, a spigot disposed concentrically within the cylindrical sleeve and having an outer surface sized to fit within a proximal end of the pipe, wherein the cylindrical sleeve is movable with respect to the spigot in a proximal direction to a sealed position and a locking assembly interposed between the cylindrical sleeve and the spigot to lock the cylindrical sleeve to the spigot in the sealed position. The at least one observation through window provides a view of at least a portion of the locking assembly to determine whether the cylindrical sleeve is locked in the sealed position.

A connecting assembly for operatively and fluidly connecting at least first and second hose segments together. The connecting assembly includes at least one insert portion, and corresponding bulge(s), securing device(s) and fluid passage(s). The securing device is removably mounted onto and displaceable about a portion of a given length span of the insert portion, and configured for operation between a first release mode, where the securing device being is drawn away from the bulge and thus an extremity of the hosing segment is releasable, and a second connecting mode, where the securing device is removably and selectively displaced over an outward overlapping of the extremity of the hosing segment extending over the bulge, so as to securely maintain said extremity of the hosing segment in place, operatively against the bulge and thus, prevent the first extremity of the first hosing segment from being removed from the bulge. A hose with a metal fitting includes a hose, a metal fitting connected to an end portion of the hose, and a sleeve covering at least a portion of the hose and metal fitting. The inside of the hose communicates with the inside of the metal fitting. The hose includes an inner-surface resin layer, a metal-wire reinforced layer, and an outer-surface resin layer. The sleeve includes a first cylindrical portion covering a portion of the metal fitting and a second cylindrical portion directly covering a portion of the hose. The length of the second cylindrical portion is 8 mm or more. The thickness of the second cylindrical portion is 1 mm or more. The hardness of the second cylindrical portion is measured in compliance with JISK6253 by Durometer Type A and is between 70 and 95. The material of the sleeve and the outer-surface resin layer are the same.
