SERVICE REINFORCEMENT SLEEVE AND METHOD OF USE

A service reinforcement sleeve is disclosed with a flange and a tubular section that can be used, with epoxy, to bind a service to a structural liner such as a cured-in-pipe structural liner. This sleeve has flexible tabs with lips (defined by cutouts) on the end of the tubular section opposite the flange. This sleeve can accommodate encrustation in the service, particularly when it is located away from the bottom of the service. A method of bonding a service and structural liner using this sleeve and epoxy is also disclosed that uses a metal brush or similar device to create a seat in the liner and abrade the lower portion of the service before insertion of the sleeve.

Sanitary Tee or Wye fitting component and use in a DWV system

An internal boss can have an outer side surface shaped to match the bored opening of the Drain, Waste, and Vent (DWV) pipe, an inner side surface shaped to align with an interior pipe surface of the sanitary Tee or Wye fitting component, and an internal face surface of the boss extending between the side surfaces and shaped to align with an interior pipe surface of the DWV pipe when welded thereto. Snap-fit wings can hold the interior face surface of the sanitary Tee or Wye fitting component against an exterior face surface of the DWV pipe while the fitting component and DWV pipe are homogeneously weldable into a single DWV fitting using a solvent mixture including a common plastic material. Related methods and single homogeneous fittings are also provided.

Gas-fired tube swaged joint

A heat exchange system for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) may comprise a burner box, a hot collector box, and a heat exchanger tube. The heat exchanger tube may be disposed between, and in fluid communication with, the hot collector box and the burner box. The heat exchanger tube may be rigidly connected to at least one of the hot collector box or burner box by a swaged joint.

Press-in connecting piece for pipe connection and tool for a press-in connecting piece

A press-in connecting piece for connecting a branch pipe to a pipe in the region of a branch opening. The connecting piece includes a pipe adapter having an inner opening, and a press-in nozzle having a pipe socket, wherein the pipe adapter has a sealing surface for resting in a sealing manner on the outer wall of the pipe, wherein the pipe socket has a tapering end portion remote from the pipe adapter.

An adaptor assembly includes: an adaptor piece including: a forged outer wall defining a substantially cylindrical shape; a through hole disposed at a top portion of the adaptor piece, the through hole defining an adaptor center cavity; a threaded portion disposed beneath the through hole; and a second hole disposed beneath the threaded portion. The adaptor assembly includes a hex socket including external threading. A diameter of the through hole is smaller than a diameter of the second hole. The hex socket is inserted through the second hole and screwed into the adaptor piece such that the external threading mates with the threaded portion.

Apparatus and Method for Providing Access to Buried Pipeline
20200173158 · 2020-06-04 · ·

A method and apparatus for providing access to a buried pipe by excavating the ground to expose the pipe then attaching an access assembly to the pipe. The access assembly includes a curved plate with an aperture therein substantially aligned with an opening in the pipe. The access assembly has multiple sweeps, each sweep combined with a riser pipe. A first sweep is combined with the curved plate and substantially aligned with the aperture in the curved plate. A second sweep is in communication with the first sweep through an opening, the second sweep has an internal wall with an upper wall portion. The wall in the second sweep is angled downward and inward from the upper wall portion toward the opening so that components inserted into its riser pipe travel downward through the riser pipe then inward toward the aperture as the component passes through the second sweep. The access assembly may include a third sweep similar to the second sweep but on the opposite side of the first sweep and having an angled portion in the opposite direction.

Insulated solution injector, system including the same, and method of injecting using the same

An insulated solution injector may include an outer tube and an inner tube arranged within the outer tube. The outer tube and the inner tube may define an annular space therebetween, and the inner tube may define a solution space within. The annular space may be configured so as to insulate the solution within the solution space. As a result, the solution may be kept to a temperature below its decomposition temperature prior to injection. Accordingly, the decomposition of the solution and the resulting deposition of its constituents within the solution space may be reduced or prevented, thereby decreasing or precluding the occurrence of a blockage.
