Method for weld repairing a turbine housing of an air cycle machine

A method for repairing a turbine housing of an air cycle machine that includes removing damaged material from a journal bearing bore of the turbine housing and forming the journal bearing bore. Next, the inner diameter of the journal bearing bore is determined and a cylindrical insert is formed. The cylindrical insert includes a first end, a second end, an inner surface, a step located at the first end, and an outer surface with an outer diameter that provides a diametric interference with the inner diameter of the journal bearing bore. The second end of the cylindrical insert is inserted into an inlet of the journal bearing bore up to the step. The cylindrical insert is secured to the turbine housing and both are stress relieved by heating. Following the stress relief, the inner surface of the cylindrical insert is formed and seal grooves are formed on the inner surface.

Method for producing a pipe element, particularly a pipe element of a fire-extinguishing facility, pipe element and pipe system comprising same

The invention relates to a method for producing a pipeline of a fire extinguishing installation. The method includes providing a first hollow body and a second hollow body, positioning the hollow bodies relative to one another in a welding zone such that the connection of the hollow bodies can be performed in the welding zone, positioning a collecting container within the first and/or second hollow body in the region of the welding zone, welding the first hollow body to the second hollow body in the welding zone such that the pipeline element is obtained, wherein a fully encircling weld seam is generated which has a root extending on the inside of the pipeline element; and collecting, by the collecting container, weld spatter that occurs on the inside of the pipeline element during the welding process.

PIPE ATTACHING STRUCTURE OF FUEL TANK

In a pipe attaching structure of a fuel tank, a pipe attachment section and the fuel tank are molded simultaneously, and the pipe attachment section can be securely molded. In the pipe attaching structure of the fuel tank, which is provided with a pipe attachment section adapted to attach pipes to an exterior wall of the fuel tank, the fuel tank has the pipe attachment section elongating from the exterior wall of the fuel tank outwardly of the fuel tank so as to be integral therewith. The pipe attachment section has an attaching exterior wall composed of the same material with that of the exterior wall of the fuel tank so as to elongate into a cylindrical configuration and continue integrally with the exterior wall of the fuel tank outwardly thereof, and an attaching interior wall formed inside the attaching exterior wall so as to continue from a tip end of the attaching exterior wall and bend like a hairpin, and the attaching exterior wall and the attaching interior wall are brought into contact with each other.

CYLINDER PIPE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A cylinder pipe assembly has a connection piece, and cylinder pipe with a main body and a connection portion. The connection portion has an outer shell calotte on a cylinder pipe outer shell and an inner shell calotte on a cylinder pipe inner shell, a connection hole, and a structural consolidation zone surrounds the connection hole. The calottes are concave embossed portions. The structural consolidation zone is arranged in a region between the calottes. The connection hole is punched and passes through the calottes. The connection piece is arranged at the connection portion and has a pressure medium tube and a connecting portion with an annular axial boundary contour that with an annular mating surface defines an annular contact surface. The cylinder pipe and the connection piece are connected in a bonded manner by an annular weld seam, and the weld seam defines a sealing plane.

Method for producing a polymer-improved pipe element and pipe element and pipe system comprising same

The invention relates to a method for producing a polymer-enhanced pipeline element, in particular of a fire extinguishing installation, and to a pipeline element and a pipeline system of a fire extinguishing installation. It is proposed according to the invention to provide a first a first and a second hollow body, to align in each case one encircling edge surface of the hollow bodies with one another, to weld the two hollow bodies to one another along the encircling edge surfaces such that an encircling weld seam is generated which has a root extending on the inside of the pipeline element, and to apply a polymer-based layer to the inside of the pipeline element, wherein the polymer-based layer completely covers the inside of the pipe element and the root of the weld seam.

Refrigeration apparatus and refrigerant pipe of the same refrigeration apparatus

A refrigerant pipe of a refrigeration apparatus includes: a first pipe, made of stainless steel, through which a refrigerant flows; a joint pipe, made of a material different from stainless steel, disposed on an outer peripheral surface of the first pipe; and a second pipe, having a diameter smaller than a diameter of the first pipe, connected to the outer peripheral surface of the first pipe via the joint pipe. A surface of the second pipe at which the second pipe is connected to the joint pipe is made of a material identical to the material of the joint pipe.

Weld structure for refrigerant circuit component and welding method for refrigerant circuit component

In a refrigerant circuit component or valve device, the present invention projection-welds a connector to a cap member and prevents intrusion of spatter into a refrigerant circuit. A-cylinder section in which an inside hole of the connector is open is inserted in an inside hole formed in the center of the cap member. The area between the A-cylinder section and a projection of the connector is used as a spatter generation space. The projection of the connector abuts against the cap member and is projection-welded to form a welded part. The open end of the inside hole of the A-cylinder section is crimped to pressure-join the open end to the open end of the inside hole of the cap member. Spatter is sealed inside the spatter generation space. A portion of the surface layer to which the generated spatter adheres may be removed by machining to provide a spatter-removed structure.

Method of bonding a bracket to a lighting column

A method of securing a bracket arm to a cast section of a bracket for securement to inter alia a lighting column. The cast section comprises a main body and one or more extension sections extending from the main body. Each extension section has a lesser dimension than the main body such that a step is formed at the junction between the extension section and the main body and the distal end of the or each extension section has a concentric lip. The method comprises the steps of mounting the or each bracket arm over and along an associated extension section such that one end of the mounting arm abuts the step thereby providing a closed cavity bounded by the extension section, arm, step and lip; injecting structural adhesive through an aperture extending into the cavity; and allowing the adhesive to cure within the cavity.
