The sealing and capping element includes a face portion for engaging the planar face of the male block and a cap portion projecting from the face portion. The cap portion includes a circumferentially extending sidewall having a webbed portion and a cover portion. The cover portion of the sidewall is configured to be separated from the cap portion by a tearing or shearing of the cap portion at the webbed portion of the sidewall.
Seal ring for vent saddle in extrusion barrel
A sealing device for sealing a venting port of an extrusion apparatus. The sealing device includes a saddle having a saddle counter bore and a seal ring positioned in the saddle counter bore of the saddle. The sealing device also includes a barrel counter bore provided in a barrel of the extrusion apparatus. The saddle counter bore and the barrel counter bore are dimensioned to receive the seal ring, wherein when the seal ring is positioned in the saddle counter bore and the barrel counter bore, a seal is formed between the seal ring in all range of processing temperatures, the saddle and the barrel to prevent the unwanted leakage of high pressure melt.
DUCT STRINGER
A duct stringer is disclosed and forms at least part of a duct with a closed cross-section along which a fluid flows. An aperture is formed through a duct wall of the duct stringer and communicates with the duct. An insert is adhered in the duct stringer and is configured to engage with a fastening member to mount a fluid transporting conduit, such as a pipe, over the aperture.
Connector
A connector for a component fitting assembly of an air conditioning system includes a substantially planar plate having a recessed portion and a slot portion. The recessed portion and the slot portion are formed in the plate to define an opening for receiving a conduit therein. A method for coupling the conduit to the connector includes the step of urging at least the portion of the conduit through the slot portion and into the recessed portion of the plate, whereby the at least the portion of the conduit is deformed to correspond with a configuration of the opening to militate against disengagement between the plate and the at least the portion of the conduit disposed in the opening of the plate.
WEDGE ADAPTER SEAL
A wedge adapter seal may comprise a hard tube having a radially projecting flange and a wedge shaped body comprising a base flange and extending between a base flange face and a sealing face, wherein the hard tube is in fluid communication with the wedge shaped body with the radially projecting flange coupled proximate the sealing face. A wedge adapter seal may further comprise a ferrule coupled to the hard tube, wherein the ferrule comprises the radially projecting flange, a traveling flange disposed about the hard tube and configured to travel axially with respect to the hard tube, wherein the traveling flange comprises at least one of a triangular geometry having convex sides forming a Reuleaux triangle, a circular geometry, a rectangular geometry, a square geometry, or an oblique geometry.
Support Assembly
A support assembly (20) is disclosed. The support assembly (20) comprises a mounting bracket (22) and a coupling component (24). The mounting bracket (22) comprises a first material and has an engagement surface (26) defining a void (28) along a first axis (30). The coupling component (24) comprises a second material, which is different than the first material. The coupling component (24) has a first end (32), a second end (34), and an intermediate portion (36). The intermediate portion (36) extends through, and partially fills, the void (28) defined by the mounting bracket (22). The intermediate portion (36) defines a fluid passageway (38) about the first axis (30) within the void (28) and also presents a locking surface (40). The locking surface (40) abuts the engagement surface (26) to prevent rotation of the coupling component (24) with respect to the mounting bracket (22).
Methods and systems for a latch plate assembly in a motor vehicle
Methods and systems are provided for a latch plate assembly for coupling pipes to a housing of an engine component. In one example, the latch plate assembly comprises: a first latch plate couplable to a first pipe; and a second latch plate couplable to a second pipe, the first and second latch plates being couplable to the housing, wherein the first and second latch plates are together configured to define a bore at an interface between the first and second latch plates. The bore receives a fastener to couple the first and second latch plates to the housing and wherein the bore has a perimeter, the first latch plate defines a first portion of the bore perimeter and the second latch plate defines a second portion of the bore perimeter, the first and second portion together defining the bore perimeter.
Fluid-Fitting Adapter
The present invention includes a fluid-fitting adapter body; a first connection mechanism in fluid communication with the fluid-fitting adapter body, the first connection mechanism including a first piston-style seal, wherein the first connection mechanism is operably configured to seal a connection to a first connection port of a multiport fitting, the multiport fitting including at least one additional connection port proximate to the first connection port, and wherein the first connection mechanism can be secured to the first connection port by manipulation of at least a portion of the first connection mechanism substantially along an axis that is substantially perpendicular to a surface of the multiport fitting in which the first connection port is located; and; a second connection mechanism in fluid communication with the fluid-fitting adapter body, the second connection mechanism being differently configured than the first connection mechanism.
MULTIPORT PISTON-SEAL FITTING
The present invention includes a multiport fitting, including a multiport fitting body including a plurality of connection ports, wherein each connection port is operably configured to receive a connection mechanism of a fluid-fitting adapter, wherein the connection mechanism can be secured to the connection port by manipulation of at least a portion of the connection mechanism substantially along an axis that is substantially perpendicular to a surface of the multiport fitting body in which the connection port is located; includes a seal receptacle and a fastener receptacle, and is proximate to at least one other connection port of the plurality of connection ports.
