A metal reinforcement band is embedded around the inlets and outlets of a valve to help prevent cracking the plastic bodies of the inlets and outlets. This metal band is embedded in between an outer diameter and a threaded inner diameter of the inlets and the outlets of a valve by an injection molding process.

Flexible pipe and coupling therefor

Construction of a sealed connection between an elastomeric or synthetic polymer flexible pipe or hose and a metallic coupling member. The coupling member surrounds an armor layer at a free end of the flexible pipe or hose. A sealing area is defined by a recessed portion of the pipe coupling into which a sealing material is introduced. An inner liner layer of the flexible pipe or hose may extend into the sealing area where it is bonded to the sealing material. The sealing material and the inner liner layer may each be comprised of a semi-crystalline thermoplastic material. Furthermore, a reinforcement material may be provided in the inner liner layer.

Composite pipe end connector

A pipe assembly (10) includes a composite pipe (12) having a composite material formed of at least a matrix material and a plurality of reinforcing elements embedded within the matrix material. The pipe assembly (10) further comprises a metallic pipe stub (14) secured to an end region of the composite pipe (12) and configured to support a connector (20) to permit the pipe assembly (10) to be secured to separate infrastructure.

SEALING COUPLING BETWEEN AT LEAST TWO PIPES OF AN ELECTROLYSIS SYSTEM THAT CAN BE MOUNTED ON ONE ANOTHER, AND USE THEREOF

A sealed coupling between at least two pipes may be mountable on one another in an electrolysis facility. The sealed coupling may be formed on at least one overlapping pipe pair by lateral surfaces abutting one another. The pipes may be mounted/mountable one inside the other in a floating manner relative to one another in an axial direction. A deformation point may be formed at a circumferential position having an axial length on a free end of the outer pipe in the overlap region. The deformation point may define a region for deformation of the outer pipe. A lateral surface of an inner lateral surface of the outer pipe and an outer lateral surface of the inner pipe may define a sealing surface that overlaps the deformation point in the axial direction. In addition to high operational reliability, this also enables a simplification of the installation procedure.

A combination includes a plurality of segments attached to one another end to end around a central space. A channel is disposed between the sides of the segments. A sealing ring is positioned in the channels. A tube has a first end disposed within the central space. A first protrusion extends radially outwardly from the tube and limits the extent to which the tube can extend into the central space. The combination is configured such that an end of a pipe element may be axially inserted into the central space and fasteners can be tightened to draw the segments toward one another.
