Adjustable drain pipe test plug for arbitrary pipe wall thickness
An Adjustable Drainpipe Test Plug Device (hereinafter Device) includes a lever arm and a plug seal assembly coupled that lever arm. The plug seal assembly fully or partially mechanically seals the drainpipe when the Device is locked into one of a plurality of plugging positions through a drainpipe side opening. A positioning arm assembly is rotatably coupled to a rear portion of the lever arm to releasably engage the lever arm while a foot of the positioning arm releasably engages a bottom rim of the side opening, thereby locking the Device into plugging position. An adjustable extensible rod of the positioning arm assembly enables the foot to engage the side opening of pipes having different nominal wall thicknesses. The Device may include a through-hole passing from a front side of the plug seal assembly to a rear side, and may include a fluid fill hose sealably coupled to the through-hole.
Closure for pressure vessel or pipeline
A closure is provided for a pressure vessel or pipelines that can provide quick and easy access to the interior of a pressure vessel or pipeline, and means for a pressure tight seal between the hub and door. The closure can incorporate means for mechanically fastening the door to the hub using an external split clamp ring actuated by a toggle mechanism. A locking mechanism can be provided to safeguard against unintended closure actuation, and provides a layer of redundancy to the holding characteristics of the toggle mechanism. The locking mechanism can be interlocked to a pressure alert system to ensure any differential pressure condition contained within the closure is detected prior to disengaging the locking mechanism and actuating the toggle mechanism.
Water pipe
A water pipe includes a pipe body (1), a woven layer (2) sleeved around the pipe body (1), a first joint assembly (3) arranged at one end of the pipe body (1) and secured to the pipe body (1), and a second joint assembly (4) arranged at another end of the pipe body (1) and secured to the pipe body (1); the woven layer (2) includes bamboo charcoal fibers and polypropylene filaments. The woven layer (2) is sleeved around the pipe body (1) and is not connected with the pipe body (1), and the woven layer (2) includes bamboo charcoal fibers and polypropylene filaments. Bamboo charcoal fibers have the functions of resisting bacteria and removing peculiar smell and can effectively prevent the generation of bacteria on the water pipe and the emission of peculiar smell when the water pipe is used in humid outdoor environments.
INSERTION VALVES AND METHODS OF INSTALLING INSERTION VALVES IN PRESSURIZED PIPES
Systems and methods for cutting an existing pipe carrying a fluid under pressure include using a cutting assembly having first and second linear cutters spaced by a lateral width. The cutters are moved from a retracted position to an extended position thereby to cut a coupon from the existing pipe. An insertion valve may then be installed on the existing pipe at the location where the coupon was removed. The insertion valve includes a valve element that is movable between open and closed positions. In some examples, the systems and methods include a check valve that moves from an open position to a closed position as the valve element moves from the closed position to the open position, thereby to facilitate repair and/or replacement of the insertion valve.
ACTUATION AND VALVE MECHANISM
An arrangement for controlling and measuring flow. The arrangement includes a fluid control barrier and a flow-measuring apparatus upstream of the fluid control barrier. The fluid control barrier includes a pair of plates for opening and closing a pipe, and the plates are movable towards a center line of the pipe to open the pipe and produce a symmetrical flow profile for the flow-measuring apparatus.
Valve insert
An insert is provided for insertion through an opening in the surface of a conduit, the insert comprising an insert body having first and second open ends defining an axis of flow therebetween. The insert further comprises a valve flap connected to the insert body. The valve flap is moveable between a closed position in which it creates a closure, thereby preventing flow along said axis, and an open position in which the valve flap allows flow along the axis. The valve flap is arranged so that, when in the open position, it is substantially U-shaped in side cross-section and is oriented with respect to the insert body so that said U-shape arches over the axis of flow.
Actuation and valve mechanism
The invention provides a cable drive device (10) including a linear drive member (12), and a cable drum (14) attached to a support bracket (30, 32) adapted to be affixed to a surface. The cable drum (14) has an axle (26) supported by the support bracket (30, 32) to allow rotation of the cable drum (14). The cable drum (14) has a cable (42) affixed at either end of said linear drive member (12) and tautly wrapped around the cable drum (14). The cable drum (14) is located between the ends of the linear drive member (12) to, in use, allow the linear drive member (12) to be guided through the bracket (30, 32) to move the linear drive member (12) longitudinally when the axle (26) is rotated.
Breaking switch for ink feeding channel and printing device using the same
A breaking switch for ink feeding channel and a printing device using the breaking switch prevents leakage of ink when a printing device is not level or not well placed. The printing device includes a case, an ink box, an ink feeding channel from the ink box, and a breaking switch for ink feeding channel. The breaking switch clamps or releases the ink feeding channel and includes a supporting base and a pressing plate. The pressing plate is rotatable between open and closed positions. When on a level working surface, the supporting leg lifts the pressing plate away from the supporting portion. When the supporting leg is free and suspended the pressing plate presses on the supporting portion and closes off the ink supply.
