FASTENING OF A COVER TO A HOUSING

A cup-shaped cover of a pedal travel simulator, hydraulic accumulator, or a damper chamber, using a radially resilient connecting ring, which protrudes into a groove of the cover and into an opposing groove of a receptacle of a hydraulic block of a traction slip controller of a hydraulic vehicle braking system, to fasten inseparably at the hydraulic block.

HYDRANT NOZZLE CAP WITH ANTENNA

Example aspects of a nozzle cap for a fire hydrant and a method of detecting a leak in a fluid system are disclosed. The nozzle cap for a fire hydrant can include an outer housing defining a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a substantially circumferential wall extending from the first end to the second end; an antenna coupled to the substantially circumferential wall of the outer housing; a cap cover coupled to the outer housing at the first end; and an inner housing coupled to the outer housing at the second end.

INSPECTION PORT SYSTEM FOR THERMALLY INSULATED PIPES, VESSELS, AND THE LIKE
20210239274 · 2021-08-05 ·

An inspection port system for a thermally insulated pipe, vessel, and the like is described. The inspection port system includes a base and a lid. The base defines a base plate with a central opening and a projecting sidewall projecting from a rim of the central opening. The projecting sidewall defines a tapered cylindrical inside surface. The lid defines a tapered cylindrical outside surface and includes a handle that can lock the lid to the base. The lid is dimensioned such that the tapered cylindrical outside surface can seal directly against the tapered cylindrical inside surface with the lid inserted into the base and the lid locked to the base by the handle. In use, the base may be attached to the jacket of the thermally insulated equipment and may provide a means of readily accessing the equipment for periodic inspection.

An aircraft wing (6) is provided. The aircraft wing (6) comprises at least one structure (62), (64), 66 comprising: a foam core (626), (666); first and second carbon fibre composite layers (624a), (622a), (662a), (664a) respectively attached to top and bottom sides of the foam core to sandwich the foam core; and third and fourth carbon fibre composite layers (624b), (622b), (662b), (664b) respectively disposed adjacent to the first and second carbon fibre composite layers, wherein the total thickness of the structure is between 1 mm and 11 mm. An aircraft having the aircraft wing and a method of manufacturing a structure are also provided.

Tamper-Resistant Locking Device And Method

Locking device and seal for an access fitting/valve, and methods of locking an access fitting/valve. The locking device may comprise an outer housing having a first internal cavity and an upper surface having an aperture; an inner housing configured to be received in the internal cavity of the outer housing, the inner housing having a second internal cavity defined by side walls at least a portion of which having internal threads for threadably connecting to an access fitting having corresponding external threads, the inner housing further having a recess having a keyed shape configured to be received by a corresponding tool or key. The inner housing is independently rotatable inside the outer housing about a common or coaxial longitudinal axis, and thus is spaced from the inner side wails of the outer housing when in the assembled condition.

END BLOCK DEVICE FOR FLANGE-TYPE FITTINGS

An end block for a flange-type hydraulic hose fitting includes a main body having a top surface, and a planar bottom surface. A plurality of openings are positioned on the main body at locations that correspond to the bolt holes of a specific size hydraulic hose fitting. The plurality of openings including an elongated shape to accommodate differences in bolt hole spacings for different pressure code ratings of the same size hose. The main body is constructed from a high pressure material for allowing the hydraulic hose to be pressurized with the main body bolted thereto. A protrusion extends outward from the top surface, and a gasket surrounds the protrusion. The protrusion includes an outside diameter that is complementary to the outside diameter of the hydraulic hose, and is positionable within the port hole of a hydraulic component which is sized to receive the hydraulic hose.

CAP WITH LOCK RING TO SEAL SERVICE PORT WITH SPRING BIASED VALVE
20210293366 · 2021-09-23 ·

A service port cap fits over the nipple (free end), annular flange and groove of a service port. An annular concavity (groove) in the interior wall of the cap receives the outwardly projecting annular flange of the service port. A resilient gasket disposed in the interior top of the cap is configured to plug the free end of the service port, when the cap is installed. Slots in the cap body define legs that can deflect outwardly and then return to an undeflected position when a deflecting force is removed. A locking ring, which includes an annular band that surrounds a portion of the cap body, is movable longitudinally between an unlocked position and a locked position in which the band surrounds and prevents outward deflection of the legs.

SEALING DEVICE

This invention relates to a fluid sealing device comprising a sealing member comprising a first surface and an opposite second surface. A first region of the first surface for forming a first seal about an aperture of a process component containing a fluid, and an inner region of the first surface to be exposed to the fluid via the process component aperture. A restraining member providing a support surface facing the second surface, a perimeter portion of the restraining member interfacing with a first region of the second surface, the first regions of the first and second surfaces corresponding with a first region of the sealing member. An inner region of the second surface spaced from the support surface to form a cavity between the inner region of the second surface and the supporting surface at least in an unpressurised condition. The inner regions of the first and second surfaces corresponding with an inner region of the sealing member, the inner region of the sealing member moveable towards and away from the support surface under action of a pressure of the fluid on the inner region of the first surface to provide an indication of the pressure.
