Methods and systems for improving engagement metrics of a spectator include identifying a group of spectators watching game play of a video game and generating an aggregate group profile for the group. Engagement metrics for the group are analyzed to identify engagement level of the group toward the game play of the player. One or more suggestions are provided to adjust game play of the video game so as to improve engagement level of the group toward the game play of the video game.

Systems and methods related to video streaming analyses for video game streams are disclosed. In embodiments, soft-ware-based algorithms may be applied to enhance game play, enable improvements to wagering, and applying artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to enhance game play experience. In embodiments, video game streams may be received to determine data regarding the video game play. Based on the data, an analysis regarding one or more aspects of the gaming event may be produced, with such aspects including at least one or a game strategy, behavioral information, and prediction, and a recommendation. The analysis can then generate a message to be output to the player of the video game stream.

A method for implementing a moment of a videogame for playing a portion of a videogame; it includes receiving user selection input of a moment of a particular videogame associated with starting at a particular progress point of the particular videogame; causing an emulation to start of the particular videogame for streaming on the computer of the user; performing image analysis of the image stream to generate metadata on progress of the particular game by the user; determining if one or more end conditions of the moment is met through analysis of the metadata; and causing the emulation to end, resulting in an end of the streaming of the particular game on the computer of the user, if the one or more end conditions is met.

A data play method is provided. A computing system described herein is configured to obtain a video of a video game being played by a video game player, where an esports competition includes play of the video game by the video game player. The computing system is additionally configured to identify, in the video and through use of machine vision technologies, occurrence of an event in the video game depicted in the video, where the machine vision technologies have been trained to detect occurrences of the event in videos, and further where an outcome of the esports competition is based upon the occurrence of the event in the video game. The computing system is additionally configured to output a value that is indicative of the occurrence of the event in the video game depicted in the video, where a score for the video game player is updated in the esports competition based upon the value that is indicative of the occurrence of the event in the video game depicted in the video.
