A tamper-evident cover for a component, the component comprising: first and second portions; and an actuator mechanism for moving the first and second portions or allowing the first and second portions to move relative to one another; wherein the cover comprises: a cover portion defining a cavity configured to receive the actuator mechanism of the component so as to prevent access to the actuator mechanism from the exterior of the cover portion; and a retention barb connected to the cover portion and housed within the cavity formed by the cover portion such that it is inaccessible from the exterior of the cover portion, the retention barb being configured to engage with the component so as to retain the cover portion over the actuator mechanism.

Systems and methods for a reusable, aseptic connector

Described here are systems and methods for a reusable, aseptic connector. A connector system provides aseptic fluid connection. The connector system has an inlet connector assembly having an inlet fluid passageway and an inlet valve configured to seal the inlet fluid passageway when in a disconnected state. The connector also has an outlet connector assembly having an outlet fluid passageway and an outlet valve configured to seal the outlet fluid passageway when in a disconnected state. The inlet valve is configured to couple to the outlet valve to form an aseptic fluid connection between the inlet and outlet fluid passageways when in a connected state.

Aseptic fluid couplings

Some fluid coupling devices described herein are configured for use in fluid systems for purposes of providing a single-use, aseptic disconnection functionality that substantially prevents fluid spillage when being disconnected. In some embodiments, the coupling portions cannot be functionally reconnected to each other after being disconnected from each other.

SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR PROVIDING A STERILE FLUID CONNECTION BETWEEN A FIRST FLUID CHANNEL AND A SECOND FLUID CHANNEL

A system (1) for providing a sterile fluid connection between a first fluid channel (2) and a second fluid channel (3), comprising a first coupling element (5) arranged at an orifice (4) of the first fluid channel (2) and a second coupling element (6) arranged at an orifice (4) of the second fluid channel (3), wherein the first coupling element (5) and the second coupling element (6) each comprise a foil (7) that may be peeled off of the orifice (4), wherein the system (1) comprises a connecting element (8) separated from the first coupling element (5) and the second coupling element (6), which is configured to accommodate the first coupling element (5) and the second coupling element (6) in the region of the orifices (4) and to press the orifices (4) of the fluid channels (2, 3), which are closed by the foils (7), against one another, wherein the connecting element (8) has a recess (9) arranged essentially in the plane of the orifices (4) of the fluid channels (2, 3) for passing the foils (7) through the connecting element (8).

Connection clamping device

A connection clamping device (21; 61; 81; 131; 151) arranged for securing a flexible tube (1) to a barbed end (5b) of a tube connector (5), whereby the barbed end (5b) comprises a barb (9) and the tube connector during connection is arranged to protrude into an end of the flexible tube (1), characterized in that said connection clamping device comprises two sections (23 a, 23b) which, during connection when the tube connector protrudes into an end of the flexible tube, are arranged to be connected and locked to each other by a locking mechanism (33a,33b,34a,34b; 63a, 63b, 64a, 64b) around the tube connector (5) and the flexible tube (1), such that the flexible tube (1) is compressed against the tube connector (5) by a rib (41a, 41b) provided on the inner circumference of the connection clamping device.

HYGIENIC COUPLING SYSTEM

A conduit clamping and sealing system includes: a bearing element including: a back segment with an external back thread for attaching to a device or fastening to a box or enclosure; a middle segment for receiving a conduit and guiding and/or aligning a hygienic sleeve system; and a front segment for receiving a seal, and a front nut for sealing a connection between the conduit and the bearing element and fastening the hygienic sleeve system.

CONNECTOR FOR MULTIPLE SIZED CONNECTIONS

A connector is used to connect a gases supply to a user. The user can be fitted with an interface, such as a cannula, while the gases supply can include a conduit. The connector interfaces between the conduit and the interface. The connector has a female assembly and a male assembly that connect together, such as by push fit. The male assembly includes an inner portion sized and configured to mate with a first female connector and an outer portion sized and configured to alternatively mate with a second female connector.

Single-use genderless aseptic fluid couplings

Some fluid coupling devices described herein are configured for use in fluid systems. For example, some embodiments described in this document are single-use, aseptic fluid coupling devices that can be coupled to create a sterile flow path therethrough. Some such aseptic couplings are genderless couplings such that two identical aseptic couplings can be coupled together.
