Lubrication control system
A lubrication control system for intermittent dosing of lubricant to one or more lubrication stations in a centrifugal separator includes a lubricant supply arrangement for supplying lubricant to at least one lubrication station. At least one pump is supplying intermittent pulsed volumes of lubricant from the lubricant supply arrangement to at least one lubricant pulse monitoring device including an elastic chamber to receive said pulsed volumes of lubricant from the pump, an outlet export valve at an outlet from the elastic chamber closing when a pulsed volume is delivered to the elastic chamber and opening to deliver the lubricant to the lubrication station, and a pressure transmitter measuring the pressure in said elastic chamber at least when a pulsed volume is received in the elastic chamber. A control computer regulating the pump controlling the pulses, closing the outlet export valve when a pulsed volume is delivered to the elastic chamber, controlling the measured pressure in the elastic chamber and opening the outlet export valve for deliverance of lubricant to the lubrication station. Also a corresponding method includes pumping intermittent pulsed volumes of lubricant to an elastic chamber, measuring the pressure in the elastic chamber when the elastic chamber has received a pulsed volume, controlling if the pressure corresponds to a required volume of lubricant, opening an outlet export valve at an outlet of said elastic chamber and emptying the elastic chamber and closing said outlet export valve to receive next pulsed volume of lubricant to the elastic chamber.
Shared oil system arrangement for an engine component and a generator
A method of distributing oil to a component within a gas turbine engine includes directing a first oil flow from an oil source to an engine component and back to the oil source, directing a second oil flow from the oil source to a generator driven by the engine and back to the oil source, monitoring a parameter of the second oil flow downstream of the generator and upstream of the oil source, detecting a contaminant in the second oil flow based on the parameter, and reducing the second oil flow to the generator when the contaminant is detected without reducing the first oil flow to the engine component. A shared oil system for a component of a gas turbine engine and a generator driven by the gas turbine engine is also discussed.
Method for determining a degree of loading of a filter
A method for determining a degree of loading on a filter medium of a filter device on a vehicle through which a fluid flows includes determining an operating characteristic of the filter device based on at least one operating quantity of the vehicle and comparing a predefined reference characteristic of the filter device with the operating characteristic. The degree of loading is derived from a result of the comparing step.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GEAR ASSEMBLY LUBRICANT SYSTEM FAILURE DETECTION
A lubricant system for a gear assembly of an aircraft is presented. The lubricant system includes a main lubricant conduit and an emergency lubricant conduit joined with a valve, and further wherein the valve defines a closed position disposing lubricant through the emergency lubricant conduit when an engine is at rest, and wherein the valve defines an open position disposing lubricant through the main lubricant conduit when the engine is in operation.
Method for operating a machine tool, and machine tool
In a method for operating a machine tool, a machine-specific flow resistance and a respective tool-specific flow resistance are ascertained for various tools. Tool-specific regulator parameters for regulating a pump of a coolant lubricant device are computed on the basis of the machine-specific flow resistance and the tool-specific flow resistance of the tool chucked in a tool spindle. Subsequently, the machine tool is operated using the tool-specific regulator parameters. In this way, a rapid and exact feed of coolant lubricant to the machining point of the respective chucked tool is enabled in a simple and flexible manner.
LUBRICATION CIRCUIT, PARTICULARLY IN AN AIRCRAFT ENGINE
A lubrication circuit comprising an oil tank (4) integrated into a first lubricated chamber (5) comprises an evacuation conduit (20) on a recovery conduit (10) from lubricated chambers of the circuit leading to the reservoir (4), opening up into an outlet (21) when an excessive pressure in the tank, that is a symptom of progressive filling, is reached. Application to aircraft engine lubrication circuits, particularly to guard against fuel leaks in the lubricant as a result of a defective heat exchanger.
Packing Leakage Detection System and Method
This application relates to the field of oil and gas devices, systems, and methods, and particularly relates to a packing leakage detection system and method. The packing leakage detection system includes a plunger pump, a pressure sensor and a control system, where the pressure sensor is configured to detect a pressure value inside a hydraulic end of the plunger pump, and send the detected pressure value to the control system; and the control system is configured to acquire the pressure value sent by the pressure sensor, and send prompt information according to the pressure value, where the prompt information includes at least one of alarm information and information for prompting shutdown and overhaul. This application is used for solving the problem that a leakage anomaly caused by a packing failure is not discovered in time.
Device for supplying lubricant to a lubrication point in a machine
A device for supplying lubricant to a lubrication point in a machine, a tunnel boring machine, for example, includes a lubrication pump unit and a control unit. The lubrication pump unit is configured to supply a quantity of the lubricant to the lubrication point, and the control unit is configured to regulate the quantity of lubricant based on a sensor measurement signal. The sensor measurement signal may be based on a temperature measured in a region of the lubrication point, a pressure measured in a region of the lubrication point, a measured viscosity of the lubricant, a measured dielectricity of the lubricant, a measured water content of the lubricant, a vibration intensity measured at a part of the machine, or a measured rotational speed of a part of the machine.
