Lubrication control system
A lubrication control system for intermittent dosing of lubricant to one or more lubrication stations in a centrifugal separator includes a lubricant supply arrangement for supplying lubricant to at least one lubrication station. At least one pump is supplying intermittent pulsed volumes of lubricant from the lubricant supply arrangement to at least one lubricant pulse monitoring device including an elastic chamber to receive said pulsed volumes of lubricant from the pump, an outlet export valve at an outlet from the elastic chamber closing when a pulsed volume is delivered to the elastic chamber and opening to deliver the lubricant to the lubrication station, and a pressure transmitter measuring the pressure in said elastic chamber at least when a pulsed volume is received in the elastic chamber. A control computer regulating the pump controlling the pulses, closing the outlet export valve when a pulsed volume is delivered to the elastic chamber, controlling the measured pressure in the elastic chamber and opening the outlet export valve for deliverance of lubricant to the lubrication station. Also a corresponding method includes pumping intermittent pulsed volumes of lubricant to an elastic chamber, measuring the pressure in the elastic chamber when the elastic chamber has received a pulsed volume, controlling if the pressure corresponds to a required volume of lubricant, opening an outlet export valve at an outlet of said elastic chamber and emptying the elastic chamber and closing said outlet export valve to receive next pulsed volume of lubricant to the elastic chamber.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GEAR ASSEMBLY LUBRICANT SYSTEM FAILURE DETECTION
A lubricant system for a gear assembly of an aircraft is presented. The lubricant system includes a main lubricant conduit and an emergency lubricant conduit joined with a valve, and further wherein the valve defines a closed position disposing lubricant through the emergency lubricant conduit when an engine is at rest, and wherein the valve defines an open position disposing lubricant through the main lubricant conduit when the engine is in operation.
METHODS FOR EVALUATING THE LUBRICATION OF AN APPARATUS WHICH CAN BE LUBRICATED BY MEANS OF A LUBRICANT CIRCUIT
A method for evaluating the lubrication of friction components of an apparatus which can be lubricated by means of a lubricant circuit. A lubricant pump of the lubricant circuit is drivable by a drive engine. A pressure ascertainment unit continuously ascertains the lubricant pressure at at least one defined region of the lubricant circuit during an engine start procedure. A travel ascertainment unit is provided, by means of which at multiple pressure points in time, at each of which the lubricant pressure ascertained exceeds a defined pressure limiting value (p.sub.1, p.sub.2, p.sub.3), the relative travel between the friction components since the beginning of the engine start procedure is ascertained or estimated, and an analysis unit, by means of which an evaluation value, is ascertained from the total of the relative travel values (.sub.1, .sub.2, .sub.3) ascertained at the pressure points in time.
DETECTION DEVICE AND LUBRICANT DISTRIBUTOR
A device for detecting a movement of a piston of a lubricant distributor includes a movable actuator including a first magnet element, and a movable indicator including a second magnet element. The actuator is configured to be moved from an initial actuator position to an end actuator position by a movement of the piston, and the actuator and the indicator are configured and disposed such that a magnetic force prevails between them such that the indicator is moved from an initial indicator position to an end indicator position by the movement of the actuator from the initial actuator position toward the end actuator position.
LUBRICATION CONTROL SYSTEM
A lubrication control system for intermittent dosing of lubricant to one or more lubrication stations in a centrifugal separator includes a lubricant supply arrangement for supplying lubricant to at least one lubrication station. At least one pump is supplying intermittent pulsed volumes of lubricant from the lubricant supply arrangement to at least one lubricant pulse monitoring device including an elastic chamber to receive said pulsed volumes of lubricant from the pump, an outlet export valve at an outlet from the elastic chamber closing when a pulsed volume is delivered to the elastic chamber and opening to deliver the lubricant to the lubrication station, and a pressure transmitter measuring the pressure in said elastic chamber at least when a pulsed volume is received in the elastic chamber. A control computer regulating the pump controlling the pulses, closing the outlet export valve when a pulsed volume is delivered to the elastic chamber, controlling the measured pressure in the elastic chamber and opening the outlet export valve for deliverance of lubricant to the lubrication station. Also a corresponding method includes pumping intermittent pulsed volumes of lubricant to an elastic chamber, measuring the pressure in the elastic chamber when the elastic chamber has received a pulsed volume, controlling if the pressure corresponds to a required volume of lubricant, opening an outlet export valve at an outlet of said elastic chamber and emptying the elastic chamber and closing said outlet export valve to receive next pulsed volume of lubricant to the elastic chamber.
