An aircraft comprises a hydrogen-fuelled propulsion system, a plurality of like generally cylindrical hydrogen storage tanks and a conveying system arranged to convey hydrogen from the hydrogen storage tanks to the hydrogen-fuelled propulsion system. The aircraft further comprises a fuselage having a cargo bay (502) including one or more (510A-G) of the plurality of hydrogen storage tanks, the longitudinal axes (511A-G) of the one or more hydrogen storage tanks within the cargo bay extending parallel to the longitudinal axis (501) of the fuselage and lying in one or more planes (595, 597) extending across the width dimension of the cargo bay. The hydrogen storage tanks within the cargo bay have a common aspect ratio R in the range 4.2≤R≤25.7, allowing the volume of space with the cargo bay occupied by stored hydrogen to be maximised or approximately maximised.

Thermoelectric cryogenic material storage container

A thermoelectric cryogenic material storage container including: an inner container containing cryogenic liquid material; a supply pipe connected to the inner container to supply the cryogenic liquid material from the outside to the inner container; an outer container for accommodating the inner container to be spaced apart from each other; a discharge pipe provided to be connected to the inner container to discharge a vaporized material of the cryogenic liquid material vaporized in the inner container to the outside of the outer container; and at least one thermoelectric module provided to have one side in contact with the outer side of the supply pipe and the other side in contact with the outer side of the discharge pipe. When current is supplied to the thermoelectric module, the other side becomes a heating side, and the one side becomes a cooling side.

Liquid conditioning for cryogen vessel fill station

A method for conditioning a liquid cryogen in a tank includes reducing a pressure of the liquid cryogen in the tank for reducing a temperature of the liquid cryogen and condensing any vapor boil-off in the tank for reclaiming the liquid cryogen in the tank. The liquid cryogen may be selected from the group consisting of liquid nitrogen (LIN), liquid oxygen (LOX), and liquid argon (LAR).

Mobile fuel distribution station

A fuel distribution station for land vehicles includes a first fuel tank assembly for releasably holding fuel and a second fuel tank assembly for releasably holding fuel. A control system selectively permits and monitors a discharge of fuel from both of the first and second fuel tank assemblies. An operation platform is elevated a predetermined distance above ground by support legs and is formed by rigidly connecting the first fuel tank assembly to the second fuel tank assembly.

TANK LEVEL SENSOR AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A sensor assembly is positioned on an exterior of a tank to measure a fluid level within the tank. The tank is modified to include a surface feature and the sensor assembly is slotted within that surface feature. The sensor assembly includes a sensor device and a control circuit configured to drive the sensor device and evaluate readings to determine the fluid level. The sensor assembly further includes a communications interface to enable communication with a management system via a communications network. The management system can store information (e.g. fill status) related to the tank and additionally communicate with vendors or end users to coordinate resupply.

VALVE WITH INTEGRATED PRESSURE REGULATOR

A regulating valve device for a fluid cylinder includes a shut off valve having a ball tappet that actuates the shut off valve. A lever has a cam surface that interacts with the ball tappet as the lever is rotated to translate the ball tappet linearly and actuate the shut off valve. The lever is rotatable from a first valve closed position through a valve open position to a second valve closed position such that the valve open position is intermediate of the first and second valve closed positions. A pressure or flow regulating valve is downstream of the shut off valve. A handwheel is operatively connected to the pressure or flow regulating valve to adjust an outlet pressure of the pressure or flow regulating valve. The handwheel has an axis of operation that is offset from a longitudinal axis of the fluid cylinder by an acute angle.

Device for Self-Service Exchange of Cylinders, in Particular Gas Cylinders

The present disclosure is directed to a device for the self-service exchange of cylinders, in particular, gas cylinders, including n unilaterally opened boxes for a cylinder, arranged in such a manner that the open walls of the boxes are substantially in one plane, with n being greater than or equal to 2, at least one sliding door, preferably n−1 sliding doors, with a size allowing at least one box to be closed and slide-mounted, so that opening one box by sliding the door causes the closing of another box, and a key lock, which in the open position allows a closed box to be opened by sliding the door, and in the closed position prevents the door from moving by a distance allowing access to the box.

Oxy-acetylene work apparatus and method for determining the operating time of said apparatus

An oxyacetylene type work apparatus including a first container containing acetylene; a first pressure gauge configured to measure the pressure in the first container, a first two-dimensional marking disposed on the first dial, a second container containing oxygen; a second pressure gauge configured to measure the pressure in the second container, a second two-dimensional marking disposed on the second dial, an image capturing device configured to produce images of the first pressure gauge and of the second pressure gauge; an electronic logic circuit configured to process said images of the first and second pressure gauges thereby determining the respective angular positions, and a sensor configured to measure the temperature of the first acetylene container.

System and method for refueling a vehicle tank with liquefied petroleum (LP) gas

A vehicle has a fuel system that includes a controller that determines when the vehicle is in a refuel mode or a run mode based on a connection of a refuel nozzle to a vehicle connection of the vehicle. The controller controls a fuel pump input selector, a vehicle fuel pump, and a fill/run fuel selector such that fuel is pumped from a storage tank external to the vehicle into a vehicle fuel tank by way of the vehicle fuel pump in the refuel mode, and fuel is pumped to an engine of the vehicle from the vehicle fuel tank by way of the vehicle fuel pump in the run mode.
