TANK FOR TRANSPORTING CRYOGENIC FLUIDS
A tank (12) for transporting cryogenic fluids, comprising an outer container (10) and an inner container (11), having between them a compartment. The inner container (11) is adapted to contain a cryogenic fluid, which is brought outside the tank (12) through at least one cryogenic fluid withdrawal pipe (13), preferably made of stainless steel. The cryogenic fluid withdrawal pipe (13) is connected to the outer container (10) through a connection system (22) comprising a tubular bimetallic joint (14), which has an outer wall (15), adapted to be welded to the outer container (10) of the tank (12), and a central end or terminal (16), adapted to be welded to the cryogenic fluid withdrawal pipe (13).
Method for filling liquid cryogen trailers
At a liquid cryogen depot, gaseous cryogen from non-completely filled short trailers is used for pressurizing jumbo trailers, from which liquid cryogen is caused to flow into empty trailers through pressure differential.
Tap Cover For A Gas Cylinder
A gas storage assembly. The assembly comprises a gas cylinder, a tap fixed to the gas cylinder, a cover with a shell protecting and housing the tap. The shell includes a front face with a hand-wheel and connecting plugs, a rear face on the opposite of the front face, a first element, and a second element. The rear face comprises a rear opening formed in both the first element and the second element which are an upper half shell and a lower half shell respectively. A rear closure part closes the rear opening and is removably mounted to the lower half shell and to the tap. The opening provides a wide view for mounting and testing the tap when mounted to the gas cylinder.
Valve integrated pressure regulator with shroud and digital display for gas cylinders
A valve integrated pressure regulator (VIPR) device is provided that includes a gas flow valve arrangement, a shroud and digital gauge display that can be attached or coupled to a gas cylinder, and which can monitor the amount or pressure of the gas in the gas cylinder. Features of the disclosed valve integrated pressure regulator device include an electronic control, electronic alarm and the electronic display that are powered by a battery that may be disposed within the shroud. The battery and/or electronic control are accessible via a removable access panel disposed on the front surface of the shroud.
A METHOD FOR RELEASING A FLUID FROM A PRESSURE VESSEL ASSEMBLY
A method for releasing a fluid from a pressure vessel assembly, the method including the steps of providing:a pressure vessel; a piezo electric device; and an electric field generator; arranging the piezo electric device in a sealed relationship with a part of the pressure vessel, thereby providing the pressure vessel assembly, providing a fluid contained within the pressure vessel assembly under pressure, and using the electric field generator to apply an electric field to the piezo electric device, such that the piezo electric device fails, thereby releasing the fluid from the pressure vessel assembly.
Mobile compressed gas refueler
A fully contained, mobile, compressed natural gas (CNG), compressed breathing air, or other compressed gas refueling unit, and methods of use of said refueling unit, that use a pneumatically powered booster pump to provide a consistent, high pressure filling of CNG storage tanks without using an external power source.
PRESSURIZED SUB-COOLED CRYOGENIC SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A cryogenic system as well as a method of generating a pressurized, sub-cooled mixed-phase cryogen and a method of delivering such a cryogen to a cryoprobe are disclosed. In an embodiment, the cryogenic system includes a reservoir containing a liquid cryogen and a sub-cooling coil immersed in the liquid cryogen. The cryogen is supplied to the sub-cooling coil and is cooled under pressure to produce a pressurized mixed phase cryogen within the sub-cooling coil. This pressurized mixed phase cryogen is provided via supply line to a cryo-device for use.
CRYOGENIC FLUID REPORTING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Various cryogenic fluid reporting systems are disclosed. In some embodiments, the system comprises a cart with a base and a load cell. The base can receive and support a cryogenic fluid tank and the weight of the cryogenic fluid tank can be applied to the load cell. The cart can include a transmitter configured to transmit a signal indicative of the weight applied to the load cell. The system can include a receiver configured to receive the signal from the transmitter. The system can include a computing system in communication with the receiver. The computing system can include software configured to correlate the signal indicative of the weight of the cryogenic fluid tank to a fill amount of the tank.
Cylinder regulator guard lifting arrangement
There is provided a guard structure for a gas cylinder assembly, the gas cylinder assembly comprising a gas cylinder body and a valve, the gas cylinder body including a base and a neck to which a proximal end of the valve is connected in use, the guard structure being securable to the gas cylinder assembly and comprising a guard body arranged, in use, to surround the valve, wherein the guard body further comprises a dependent lip extending around substantially the entire perimeter of the guard body, the dependent lip being located and arranged to be graspable by at least one user to enable the gas cylinder assembly to be lifted and/or maneuvered.
Container for pressurized gas
Disclosed are articles useful as the body of a container for containing gas under pressure, and containers which comprise the articles to which are affixed valves to control the flow of gas out of the container, wherein the articles comprise a hollow container body, having an external surface and having an opening through which gas can enter or leave the interior of the hollow container body; optionally but preferably a layer of fiber-reinforced polymer around the exterior of the container body, and an external layer of elastomer around and sealed to the external surface of the layer of fiber-reinforced polymer if present or else to the cylinder body.
