SMALL MOLECULE GAS STORAGE ADAPTER
Various embodiments are generally directed to a casing connected to a top cap structure that consists of an adapter flange extending to an adapter barrel that is configured to fit wholly within the casing. The adapter barrel can be separated from the casing by an annulus that is filled to a predetermined annulus pressure while an internal chamber defined by the adapter barrel contains a gas having a small molecular size at a storage pressure that is greater than the predetermined annulus pressure.
Membrane type insulation system for cryogenic LNG carrier cargo tank and liquefied gas fuel container
Disclosed is a membrane type insulation system for LNG carrier cargo tank and liquefied gas fuel container wherein a corrugation finishing membrane formed of Invar steel is welded to a secondary membrane connecting portion or a primary membrane connecting portion in order to seal corrugations at a corner portion of a cargo tank in a structure wherein at least one of a primary membrane and a secondary membrane is formed of an SUS material having corrugations, thereby improving work efficiency while reducing manufacturing costs through elimination of a separate angled piece for connection between corrugations on adjacent walls at the corner portion.
Pressure vessel
A pressure vessel includes a vessel body, a covering part, and a cylindrical mouthpiece. The vessel body includes a cylindrical open end portion on at least one end side of the vessel body. The covering part is made of a fiber reinforced resin and covers an outer surface of the vessel body. The mouthpiece is configured such that a plurality of mouthpiece bodies each having a projection on an inner surface of the mouthpiece body is connected to each other in a circumferential direction of the open end portion. The mouthpiece is attached to an outer peripheral surface of the open end portion by the projections biting into the covering part covering the outer peripheral surface of the open end portion. The mouthpiece bodies of the mouthpiece are connected to each other by fitting together fitting portions formed at end portions of the mouthpiece bodies in the circumferential direction.
Tank for Storing Energy in the Form of Pressurized Gas, Made of Ultra-High Performance Fibre Reinforced Concrete
The present invention is a tank for storing pressurized gas. The tank comprises at least one tubular element (1) having a wall comprising a layer of prestressed concrete (6), at least one circumferential mechanical reinforcing layer (8), at least one axial mechanical reinforcing layer (7) and a sealing layer (5). The concrete from which the layer of prestressed concrete is made is chosen from ultra high performance fiber-reinforced concretes.
Suspension system for an inner container mounted for thermal insulation in an outer container and container arrangement
Suspension system for an inner container mounted for thermal insulation in an outer container. Rod-shaped fixed bearing securing elements of a fixed bearing system engage the outer container and the inner container and can be stressed in tension and compression. Fixed bearing securing elements engage the inner container while being arranged so as to be distributed in an annular installation space between the inner container and outer container, and they engage the outer container while being distributed in the annular installation space. A floating bearing system with a floating bearing ring and annularly distributed floating bearing securing elements can be arranged in the outer container to support the inner container. The floating bearing securing elements can be stressed in tension by tension springs and/or in compression by compression springs and engage the floating bearing ring and the inner container or the outer container.
Flange for Pressure Vessel with Undercut Fillet
A flange for a pressure vessel includes a rim, a sealing seat, and an undercut fillet. The rim has an annular surface for abutting an annular end of a cylindrical wall of the pressure vessel. The sealing seat has a cylindrical surface for abutting an inner surface of the cylindrical wall of the pressure vessel nearby the annular end. The undercut fillet is disposed between the rim and the sealing seat. A concave surface of the undercut fillet extends the annular surface of the rim radially inward and then curves back outward to intersect the cylindrical surface of the sealing seat. The undercut fillet of the flange helps distribute stress produced from a pressure differential between the inside and outside of the pressure vessel.
Sealed and thermally insulating tank provided with a loading/unloading tower
A sealed and thermally insulating storage tank for a fluid that is anchored in a load-bearing structure built into a ship, the ship having a longitudinal direction, the tank having a loading/unloading tower suspended from a ceiling wall of the load-bearing structure, the loading/unloading tower including first, second and third vertical pylons defining a prism of triangular section, the loading/unloading tower carrying at least a first pump, the tank having a support foot that is fastened to the load-bearing structure, the tank having at least one sump, the first pump being arranged outside the triangular prism and being aligned with the support foot in a first transverse plane that is orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the ship.
Heat-insulating structural material, and low temperature and ultra-low temperature liquefied gas carrier using the same
The present invention relates to a heat-insulating structural material, which: firstly, can minimize or prevent a thermal bridge by improving the structure of the connection part of the heat-insulating structural material; secondly, improves insulation performance by arranging a vacuum insulation material inside the core layer of the heat-insulating structural material; and thirdly, increases structural stiffness by forming the core layer from a non-foaming polymer material having excellent structural performance, prevents gas from moving in or out of the vacuum insulation material through the air-tight adhesive structure of the core layer, and can improve fire protection performance so as not to be vulnerable to fire, and thus the present invention is universally applicable to fields requiring insulation ability and structural performance.
