NITROGEN VAPORIZATION
20170276054 · 2017-09-28 ·

Apparatus and methods for vaporizing liquid nitrogen at sufficient pressure, temperature, and volume to enable a single mobile pumper to meet the needs of many industrial applications. The dual-mode nitrogen pumper of the present invention utilizes a reciprocating pump and heat from the engine coolant and exhaust stream of an internal combustion engine, as well as heat from hydraulic fluid used to load the engine, and transfers that heat to liquid nitrogen pumped through a first heat exchanger and a second, internally-fired heat exchanger is provided to transfer heat to liquid nitrogen pumped through a second heat exchanger. The temperature of the hydraulic fluid is maintained, and the temperature, pressure, and flow rate of the vaporized nitrogen is controlled, by balancing the engine load against the nitrogen pumping rate.

The system includes a storage tank, a pressure sensor, a dispenser, a temperature sensor, and a vapor supply unit. The storage tank stores a liquefied fuel including phases of liquid and vapor. The pressure sensor is configured to measure a vapor pressure inside the storage tank. The dispenser is configured to receive the liquefied fuel and dispense the gaseous fuel to a receiving tank. The temperature sensor is configured to measure temperature of the dispenser. The system further includes a vapor supply unit fluidly coupled with the storage tank and configured to provide the vapor of the liquefied fuel from the storage tank into the dispenser or in thermally contact with at least one portion of the dispenser.

Module and system for depressurising a cryogenic tank

Some embodiments are directed to a module for depressurisation and storage of a portion of a gas layer coming from at least one cryogenic tank. Some other embodiments are directed to a system using such a module.

LPG FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM WITH VAPOR LOCK PREVENTION
20220154884 · 2022-05-19 ·

A liquid petroleum gas (LPG) fuel supply system for a vehicle having an internal combustion engine includes an LPG tank, a fuel pump housing, a fuel pump inside the fuel pump housing, a fuel supply line connected between the LPG tank and the fuel pump housing, and a vapor release port located on the fuel pump housing. The vapor release port is connected to the LPG tank by a vapor return line. The fuel pump housing fills with LPG from the LPG tank under the action of gravity. Vapor forms in the fuel pump housing, separates from the liquid, gathers toward the top of the fuel pump housing, and under the action of gravity, displaces through the vapor port, rises through the vapor return conduit, and is released into the LPG tank 19, balancing pressure and preventing vapor lock.
