HEADLAMP HAVING A DETACHABLE FLASHLIGHT
Various embodiments for a headlamp having a detachable flashlight are disclosed. The headlamp can include a head guard ergonomically contoured to be worn on a head of an operator, for instance, using one or more straps. The head guard can include a cavity, where the cavity includes a first electrical contact and a first magnet positioned therein. The detachable flashlight is adapted to be positioned in the cavity of the head guard. The detachable flashlight can include a second electrical contact and a second magnet. The first magnet is sized and positioned to orient a rear face of the detachable flashlight to align the second electrical contact of the detachable flashlight with the second electrical contact positioned in the cavity.
Light button device
Compact light devices are described herein that are advantageously configured to be secured to a surface in order to provide inexpensive lighting forwardly therefrom. The compact light devices can include on and off configurations in order to preserve battery life and allow a user to selectively energize the light source.
System, Apparatus, and Methods for Adjustable Focal Length Light
A lighting device is disclosed having a plurality of light emitting diodes disposed about the same substrate. A lens is configured with a geometry that corresponds to different sections of the substrate containing the light emitting diodes to propagate a beam of light with different characteristics through different portions of the lens.
Flashlight having plural light sources with common fluorescent element
A flashlight including a lens assembly having an adjusting element; and a light source assembly provided at one side of the lens assembly. The light source assembly includes a first light source, a second light source, an excitation element, and a light path adjusting element. Light emitted from the first light source irradiates the excitation element to generate first exciting light, and light emitted from the second light source irradiates the excitation element to generate second exciting light. The first exciting light and the second exciting light sequentially pass through the light path adjusting element and the adjusting element, and are outputted simultaneously.
Multi-purpose flashlight
A multi-purpose flashlight having a plurality of internal and external accessories that are designed to allow the user to perform a variety of activities which increases the utility of the flashlight. Said multi-purpose flashlight includes a handle assembly and main body assembly. The handle assembly of the flashlight includes a cutting and opening assembly, a magnetic attachment means, and a bit attachment means. Meanwhile, the main body assembly including a lighter assembly, a lighting assembly, and a removable cap including a glass-breaker, the removable cap being configured to removably enclose the lighter assembly.
Flashlight and camera assembly for use under water
The flashlight and camera assembly for preventing unwanted light from negatively affecting a content capturing device. An outer housing assembly houses a first light emitting device, a second light emitting device and a content capturing device. A circumference is defined by a forward-end surface. The first light emitting device is housed by a first inner housing assembly. The second light emitting device is housed by a second inner housing assembly. The content capturing device housed by a third inner housing assembly. Unwanted light is prevented from negatively affecting the content capturing device by a separate arrangement within the circumference of a first transparent covering in front of the first inner housing assembly, second transparent covering in front of the second inner housing assembly and third transparent covering in front of the third inner housing assembly.
Portable lighting device with an illuminated indicia
The invention provides a portable lighting device with an elongated main body that includes a housing with receiver, and a power source positioned within the receiver. An operational mode selector assembly with a switch assembly that is actuated by a user is operatively coupled to the power source. An illumination assembly is electrically coupled to both the operational mode selector and the power source. The illumination assembly has a primary light source with a light emitter that emits light axially along a longitudinal axis of the main body or housing through a lens. A secondary light source with a light emitter emits light substantially perpendicular to the axis to illuminate an indicia located in a side region of the illumination assembly. During operation of the portable lighting device, the components of the illumination assembly are arranged such that: (i) the primary light source does not illuminate the indicia, (ii) the secondary light source does not emit light through the lens, (iii) an appreciable amount of light emitted from the primary light source does not mix with light that is emitted from the secondary light source within the portable lighting device, and (iv) an appreciable amount of light emitted from the secondary light source does not mix with light that is emitted from the primary light source within the portable lighting device.
Battery charger operating method and method usable with plural different power supplies
A method for charging a battery may comprise: setting an initial low charge current level; repetitively interrupting charging in a periodic cycle, and: measuring an open circuit battery voltage when charging is interrupted, determining from the open circuit battery voltage a corresponding predetermined charging current; applying the predetermined charging current; and repeating the periodic cycle. A method may also comprise: setting an initial charge current level, measuring the supply voltage, and decreasing the charge current level if the measured supply voltage is less than a predetermined voltage.
Multi-directional light assembly
Light assemblies comprise a housing having a chamber, one or more light emitting elements connected with the housing, a transparent cover, and one or more reflectors positioned adjacent the light emitting element. The one or more light emitting elements are interposed between the transparent cover and the one or more reflectors, and the one or more light emitting elements and one or more reflectors operate to provide a multi-directional field of illumination that is 180 degrees or more, e.g., between about 180 to 270 degrees. The transparent cover may have a convex outer surface to facilitate light transmission in side oriented directions. The light assembly may include switches or controls for on/off and/or dimming functions. An example light assembly comprises three light emitting elements in the form of LEDs, and includes three reflectors, wherein the LEDs and reflectors are configured to produce the desired field of illumination.
Light source assembly with multiple, disparate light sources
A light source assembly includes a housing assembly and at least two sets of disparate light sources that are coupled to the housing assembly. The sets of disparate light sources include a first plurality of disparate light sources; and a second plurality of disparate light sources. Each plurality of disparate light sources includes a first light source that generates a first light beam having a first center wavelength and a second light source that generates a second light beam having a second center wavelength that is different than the first center wavelength. The first plurality of disparate light sources generates a first output beam that is directed along a first central beam axis. The second plurality of disparate light sources generates a second output beam that is directed along a second central beam axis that is spaced apart from the first central beam axis by at least approximately sixty degrees.
