VEHICLE EXTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEMS WITH REVEALABLE FASCIA LAMP ASSEMBLIES

Vehicle exterior lighting systems may be equipped with fascia mounted lamp assemblies. The proposed systems are capable of controlling a fascia lamp assembly to reveal the lamp assembly within the vehicle fascia and then produce various lighting effects based on sensed vehicle conditions. Exemplary fascia lamp assemblies may include a conductive lens that can be charged in order to reveal the lamp assembly within the vehicle fascia.

INDICATOR LAMP, VEHICLE INDICATOR LAMP WITH SAID INDICATOR LAMP, VEHICLE EXTERIOR MEMBER, AND VEHICLE

An indicator lamp of the present invention includes a lamp body, a light source unit disposed inside the lamp body, and a light transmissive resin member disposed at a position for transmitting light that is emitted from the light source unit and for outputting the light from the lamp body.

The light source unit emits red light having a maximum value of light intensity at a wavelength of 600 nm or longer and 700 nm or shorter. The light transmissive resin member has an L* value of 35 or less, a transmittance of light having a wavelength of 675 nm of 90% or greater and a total light transmittance of 5% or greater in the state in which an optical path length of transmitting light is 2 mm. This configuration provides an indicator lamp with excellent design that shows its presence by showing a red chromatic tone when a light source is turned on and that shows a black color tone when the light source is turned off.

Vehicle headlight for improving visibility during operation

Disclosed herein is a vehicle headlight for improving visibility during operation. In the vehicle headlight, a filtering film capable of preventing glare and reducing a discomfort glare phenomenon by controlling scotopic vision (S)/photopic vision (P) ratio in such a manner as to selectively absorb/block blue light in light emitted from an LED module is adhered, thereby improving visibility during operation.

Method for Producing a Semi-Transparent Motor-Vehicle Design Element

The invention relates to a method for producing a semi-transparent motor vehicle design element (3), comprising the following steps:

A providing a dimensionally stable, at least partially light-permeable substrate (1) which is heat-resistant for a temperature of at least 60° C., the substrate (1) having a front side (1a) and a rear side (1b),

B introducing the substrate (1) into a vacuum chamber (2) and applying a first metallic semi-transparent layer (L1) by means of a PVD process to the substrate (1) according to step a) which is situated in the vacuum chamber (2), and

C applying a light-impermeable cover layer (LD) to the front or rear side (1a, 1b) of the substrate (1), the light-impermeable cover layer (LD) containing at least one light-permeable opening (8) for reproducing at least one graphical symbol (SYM),

steps B and C being carried out such that light (LSQ) passing through the at least one opening (8) in the light-impermeable cover layer (LD) from the rear side (1b) towards the front side (1a) of the substrate (1) is incident on the first metallic semi-transparent layer (L1) and at least partially passes outwards through the first metallic semi-transparent layer (L1) in order to project the at least one graphical symbol (SYM) represented by the at least one opening (8).

HIDDEN LIGHTING LAMP USING COLOR CONVERSION MATERIALS AND VEHICLES HAVING SAME

A hidden lighting lamp uses a color conversion material and is applied to a vehicle. A color conversion member is spaced apart from a light source by a light source air gap (La) such that the color conversion member is integrally engaged with a lens for projecting light of the light source to the outside or such that the color conversion member is spaced apart from the lens by a lens air gap (Lb). Hidden lighting without deterioration of optical efficiency of LED light from the light source is thereby implemented. One or more of a black painting, a coating layer, an application layer, and a deposition layer are provided, thereby providing concealment of the lamp inner space of the lens, anti-peeling of a deposit, and diversity of fluorescent color.

A lighting device includes lens which delimits the inner region of the lighting device and is configured so that light exits outwards from the inner region. The lighting device includes one or more light sources in the inner region to emit a first light radiation in a first wavelength range, the lens being non-transparent to the first light radiation. The inner region also includes one or more elements, each of which contains a photoluminescent phosphor, the element(s) being arranged to be illuminated by the first light radiation. The photoluminescent phosphor is configured to emit a second light radiation in a second wavelength range, based on the first light radiation illuminating the element(s), the second light radiation at least partly exiting through the lens which is transparent to at least a part of the second light radiation.

Lamp for vehicle

A lamp for a vehicle includes a light source unit for generating light, a shield unit for selectively transmitting at least some of the light generated from the light source unit, and a lens unit for focusing the light that transmits trough the shield unit on a road surface. A main transmission light among the light that is transmitted through the shield unit forms a plurality of road surface patterns, and an auxiliary transmission light among the light that is transmitted through the shield unit is irradiated to one or more selected road surface pattern among the plurality of road surface patterns to increase brightness of the selected road surface pattern.
