Fish Stick Assembly
A fish stick includes a light emitting component, such as a lighted tip, near the leading end of the fish stick. The lighted tip includes a curved lens that directs some light around an attachment piece at the end of the fish stick and generally in the forward direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the fish stick. The fish stick may be made of a phosphorescent material and stored in a lit container with an LED and reflective surfaces. The fish stick may be made of multiple rods that are threadably engaged with each other and include a spring biasing element that increases the coefficient of friction between the threads of the rods. The fish stick may also be made of multiple rods that are threadably engaged with each other via collars.
LIGHTED POWER TOOL
A tool storage system includes a tool storage container configured to receive therein a battery for a power tool with an inductive receiving unit. An inductive transmitting unit is coupled to the tool storage container and configured to receive a source of electrical power. The inductive transmitting unit is configured to induce generation of electrical power in the inductive receiving unit to charge the battery. A controller is configured to control generation of electrical power by the inductive receiving unit based on a position or alignment of the inductive receiving unit relative to the inductive transmitting unit.
KNIFE WITH INTEGRAL SEALED POWER SOURCE
A folding knife is provided with a power storage device that can be charged and recharged by a charge component that wirelessly receives power from a remote source. In some embodiments, the folding knife can have a device that consumes energy such as a light, a camera, a microphone, an audio speaker, etc. The power storage device and the charge component can be positioned in a scale of the handle where the substantially planar shapes of the scale, the power storage device, and the charge component are oriented in a common direction. In some embodiments, the cavities, recesses, and channels in the first scale that house these components and linking wires are strategically positioned to leave a reinforcing area that provides strength and stiffness to the handle. Various features are also described herein that improve safety of the charging system.
Job box
A job box comprises a base defining a storage area, a lid coupled to the base and moveable between an open position, in which the storage area is accessible, and a closed position, in which the storage area in not accessible, and a light supported by the base or the lid and configured to illuminate the storage area.
Tool illumination source
An illumination source disposed in a housing of a tool without the need for fasteners or snaps. The illumination source includes a number illumination elements, such as LEDs, disposed on a circuit board. A lens and the housing cooperatively direct light emitted by the illumination elements away from a user's eyes during use of the tool.
Cubical wood sharpener and multi-tool
An apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a housing. The housing has a top portion with an opening. The housing has a bottom portion having a plurality of discharge openings arranged around a center piece of the bottom portion. A plurality of support members are disposed in an interior of the housing, each extending from an edge of the top portion proximate to the opening to the center piece of the bottom portion. The housing has a plurality of blade receptacles, each of which has a first section disposed in the top portion and a second section extending along an edge of one of the plurality of support members. The housing has first, second, third, and fourth side portions. The apparatus comprises a plurality of blades, each of the plurality of blades disposed in a respective one of the plurality of blade receptacles of the housing.
Compact multi-material cut-off tool
A power tool includes a housing having a motor housing portion and a handle portion coupled thereto, an arbor supported by the housing, a working element attachable to the arbor for movement therewith, a motor positioned within the motor housing portion and configured to drive the arbor, a first lighting element positioned proximate an end of the handle portion, and a second lighting element positioned on the motor housing portion. The first lighting element is configured to illuminate a workpiece behind the working element and the second lighting element is configured to illuminate the workpiece in front of the working element.
Portable illumination apparatus
A portable illumination apparatus is provided for illumination of an area that is a target of a portable tool for work thereon. The apparatus includes a light head, a clamp, a personal mobile power supply, and a mobile mounting sleeve. The light head is configured to illuminate the target area. The clamp is configured allow the light head to be mounted thereon and secure the mounted light head to the portable tool. The personal mobile power supply is configured to supply the light head with power for the illumination of the target area by the light head. The mobile mounting sleeve is configured to receive the personal mobile power supply therein and secure the personal mobile power supply to an operator of the portable tool.
LIGHT-PROJECTING OF INSTALLATION-LOCATION PATTERNS ONTO INSTALLATION SURFACES
A light module projects multiple light beams onto an installation surface to form multiple light indicia spaced apart in a pattern on the installation surface, with the light indicia identifying installation locations on the installation surface where construction mounts are then installed. Embodiments include systems in which the light module includes a light emitter that projects a source light beam and a diffractor that diffuses the source light beam into the multiple light beams, systems in which the light module is adjustably mounted to and movable with a handheld tool used to install the construction mounts, systems in which the light module is adjustably mounted to a static-use support, and methods of using these systems to install the construction mounts.
CLAMPING DEVICE FOR AFFIXING ACCESSORIES
An example device that may be mounted to a tool may include a clamping mechanism that allows the device to be put onto a tool and removed from the tool. The device may affix pieces and accessories by using an accessory fastening mechanism, such as one or more magnets. This device may include various features on a permanent or temporary basis. Such features may include lights, speakers, levels, or other features. In an example, the device may be used with a handheld tool, such as a power drill or other tool.
