Vehicle winglet with sequential blinker

A vehicle winglet (e.g., sideview mirror, camera or radar assembly, etc.) is provided with sequential illumination of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). A light guide is connected to and covers the LEDs. The light guide is made of a translucent material and is configured to guide light illuminated by the LEDs and transfer the light out of the light guide. The light guide includes a plurality of light guide towers extending therefrom. Each light guide tower is aligned with a respective one of the LEDs. In some embodiments, a plurality of collimators are provided, with each collimator aligned with a respective one of the LEDs and with a respective one of the light guide towers to redirect the light illuminated from the respective LED into the respective light guide tower.

Multi-purpose safety accessories

A safety accessory for mounting on a vehicle comprises a housing having a front side and a back side, and a laterally extending mounting portion for connecting to the vehicle, a mirror mounted on the front side, and a bulb assembly within the housing facing the back side. The bulb assembly comprises a plurality of white, amber and red light sources, and a control circuit connected between light sources and a plurality of inputs. The control circuit causes the white light sources to be on when power is received at a first input, the amber light sources to flash in a standard flash pattern when power is received at a second input, the red light sources to flash in the standard pattern when power is received at a third input, and the amber light sources to flash in an emergency strobe pattern when power is received at a fourth input.

Blind spot area warning system for a vehicle side view mirror with light guide disposed cavity of a cover having an incident face with grooves, an end face , output face and opposing operating face
10589675 · 2020-03-17 ·

A blind spot area warning and illustrating device includes a light guiding member including a light output face and a light incident face having grooves. The light guiding member further includes an operating face opposite to the light output face and having reflective faces. Each reflective face is at an acute angle to the light output face. A cover is mounted around the light guiding member. The light output face of the light guiding member is aligned with a light transmitting area of a mirror of a side view mirror. A light emitting diode lamp is mounted in the cover and is aligned with the light incident face. When the light emitting diode lamp is activated to emit light, the grooves diffuse the light emitted by the light emitting diode lamp, and the reflective faces reflect the diffused light to uniformly pass outwardly through the light output face.

LIGHT EFFICIENCY METHODS FOR HTL SYSTEMS

A multifunction lamp unit for a vehicle includes a housing, at least one light pipe together with at least one light source disposed at least partially within the housing, and a clear lens substantially enclosing the housing, the at least one light pipe and the at least one light source, the lens having an inner surface, an outer surface disposed opposite the inner surface and at least one of a continuous transparent and translucent coating on the outer surface.

Indirect vision device

The present invention refers to an indirect vision device for vehicles integrating a lighting unit, like light indicators or light decorative elements, preferably for vehicles.
