Various aspects and embodiments of under-hood luminaires are described. In one example, an under-hood luminaire includes a luminaire frame assembly. The luminaire frame assembly includes support braces and a number of cross members secured to the support braces in a spaced-apart configuration. The cross members include mounting surfaces, and light strips are secured to the mounting surfaces. The luminaire also includes a contraction hook assembly that can be used to secure the under-hood luminaire to the hood of an automobile. The luminaire can be relied upon to uniformly illuminate the engine compartment of the automobile, helping to eliminate lost productivity and frustration for mechanics.

A controller is configured to be coupled to the hub and generate the control signals for the sorter light boxes in the chain of sorter light boxes based upon commands received via an externally coupled network, and a repeater is configured to be coupled within the chain to push power along the chain.

Flood light

A light includes a housing with a front face, a first face oriented at a first oblique angle with respect to the front face, and a second face oriented at a second oblique angle with respect to the front face. The light also includes a light source with a plurality of LEDs arranged to emit light from the front face, and a power source configured to provide power to the light source. The second oblique angle is different than the first oblique angle. The first face and the second face each define a surface configured to support the light. The first face includes two legs spaced from one another, and the second face includes two legs spaced from one another.

Collapsible area light with tripod

An area light including a base having a first end and a second end, a pair of legs rotatably coupled to the first end of base, wherein the pair of legs is rotated towards the base when the area light is in a stowed configuration and is rotated away from the base when the area light is in an open configuration, and a light body having a light head. The light body is rotatably coupled to the base on the first end of the base, wherein the light body is rotated towards the base when the area light is in the stowed configuration and is rotated away from the base when the area light is in the open configuration. The pair of legs is rotatably fixed to one another to rotate as a single unit relative to the base.

Lightweight led lighting systems for permanent and semi-permanent mounting on elevated structures having integrated support and thermal transfer features

The invention relates to lightweight LED lighting systems for permanent and semi-permanent mounting on elevated structures, the lighting systems having integrated support and thermal transfer features. The systems are particularly suited for elevated mast systems and specifically for mast systems that are repeatedly lifted and lowered such as drilling and service rig masts. Specifically, the invention improves a) the weight/lumen ratios of LED lamp assemblies and LED lighting systems, b) the net added weight of LED lighting systems, c) the footprint of LED light systems and/or d) obviates the need for removing LED lighting systems or their sub-assemblies when transporting mast systems.

Luminaire having a plug contact, the use of a luminaire of this kind, and a connector for a luminaire of this kind

A luminaire (1) having a preferably flat light exit region (2) that is surrounded by a rectangular light frame (10), wherein the luminaire frame (10) spans a first plane (E) and has a frame height (H) that is perpendicular to the first plane (E) and, at one of its corners (11), a beveled surface (12) in which a plug contact (30) is arranged, and an electromechanical plug connector for a luminaire of this kind are provided.

PORTABLE LIGHT, SUCH AS A STICK LIGHT
