GAME CONTROLLER
An example game controller is removably attachable to a main unit. The game controller includes a controller-side slide member. The controller-side slide member protrudes from a first surface of the game controller and is configured to slidably engage with the main unit-side slide member in a slide direction. The controller-side slide member has a first end and a second end in the slide direction, and the game controller is configured to be attached to the main unit by inserting the controller-side slide member into the main unit-side slide member. The controller-side slide member includes a protruding portion and at least one terminal. The protruding portion protrudes from the first end side of the controller-side slide member in the slide direction and has a facing surface that faces the first surface of the game controller. The at least one terminal is between the facing surface and the first surface.

At least one memory device of a game system stores a plurality of instructions, which, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to: set, on a touch panel, a reception area for receiving a direction designation operation; move, in accordance with a movement of a touch position on the touch panel, an operation position in a direction corresponding to a moving direction of the touch position by a distance longer than a moving distance of the touch position; acquire a designated direction based on a direction from a reference position corresponding to the reception area to the operation position; and execute game processing based on the designated direction.
AUTOMATIC GENERATION OF VIDEO PLAYBACK EFFECTS
In various examples, recordings of gameplay sessions are enhanced by the application of special effects to relatively high(er) and/or low(er) interest durations of the gameplay sessions. Durations of relatively high(er) or low(er) predicted interest in a gameplay session are identified, for instance, based upon level of activity engaged in by a gamer during a particular gameplay session duration. Once identified, different variations of video characteristic(s) are applied to at least a portion of the identified durations for implementation during playback. The recordings may be generated and/or played back in real-time with a live gameplay session, or after completion of the gameplay session. Further, video data of the recordings themselves may be modified to include the special effects and/or indications of the durations and/or variations may be included in metadata and used for playback.
GAME CONTROLLER
A game controller is provided. The game controller includes a first handle body, a second handle body, a first support module, and a second support module. The first support module includes a first support groove, a first clamping member, and a second clamping member. The first clamping member and the second clamping member are disposed at two sides of the first support module. The second support module includes a second support groove, a third clamping member, and a fourth clamping member. The third clamping member and the fourth clamping member are disposed at two sides of the second support module. A mobile device is disposed between the first support module, the first clamping member and the second clamping member of the first support module, the second support module, and the third clamping member and the fourth clamping member of the second support module.
CONTROLLING A USER INTERFACE
According to a first aspect, there is provided a computer device having a user interface and a processor. The user interface is configured to provide a gameboard comprising tiles supporting game objects. A pre-defined plurality of the tiles constitutes a segment of the gameboard supporting a group of game objects. The user interface is configured to detect user input when a user engages with a user activatable game element. The processor is configured to receive a detected user input, detect a match game condition of a plurality of adjacent game elements having matching characteristics, and, if the match condition is detected, remove the plurality of game elements and generate new game elements to replenish the gameboard. The processor is further configured to detect a segment condition associated with the segment, and, if detected, to replace the group of game objects of the segment with a replacement group of game objects.
FACETED EIGHT-DIRECTION CONTROL PAD
A direction control pad includes a body with a top side. The top side includes a center surface with a plurality of cardinal surfaces oriented at an angle to the center surface and a plurality of diagonal surface oriented at an angle to the center surface. The cardinal surfaces are recessed below the cardinal surfaces. Each of the cardinal surfaces connect to the center surface at a discontinuity.
Determining high-interest durations of gameplay sessions from user inputs
In various examples, durations of relatively high user activity within a gameplay session may be determined from user input events using a running user activity measurement. Once a duration is identified, it may be further analyzed to merge the duration with one or more other durations and/or to determine or predict whether the duration would be of sufficient interest for further action. A user interest score for an identified duration may be computed based on a set of the user input events that occur in the duration and used to determine and/or predict whether the duration would be of sufficient interest for further action. In some cases, an action may be performed based on determining the user interest score is greater than a statistical value that is computed from user interest scores of multiple identified durations.
Dynamic interactive media for a playset
A playset comprises a plurality of hotspots positioned within a plurality of scenes. A switching mechanism is configured to selectively couple to the each of the plurality of hotspots and is communicatively coupled with a controller. The controller is configured to establish communication with a first object using a first hotspot and determine an object type of the first object and a location of the first object within the playset. The location of the first object corresponds to a scene that contains the first hotspot. The controller is further configured to select an interactive media based on the object type and the location of the first object, select a first media file based on the selected interactive media, and instruct the first media file to be output on an output device.

The protruding portion protrudes from the first end side of the controller-side slide member in the slide direction and has a facing surface that faces the first surface of the game controller. The at least one terminal is between the facing surface and the first surface.
Information processing system, controller device, and information processing apparatus
A controller device which is connected to an information processing apparatus and is to be worn on a user's hand. The controller device includes a device body to be gripped by the user, in which a sensor outputting a sensor output based on a change in a shape of a base part of the finger is disposed on the device body in a position so as to come into contact with the bases of at least some fingers of the user when the user grips the device body. The controller device receives information output from the sensor and related to the change in the shape of the base parts of the fingers of the user, and sends out the information to the connected information processing apparatus.
