BURNER AND ASSEMBLY OF COMPACT BURNERS
A premix burner made up of an air inlet tube of length L and a single specific gas injection, the gas injection includes an upstream gas injector, a mixer, a downstream gas injection situated at a distance L3 from an upstream end of the air inlet tube and a stabilizing element, where the gas injection constitutes a one-piece mechanical assembly that ensures a self-stable elementary flame.
Swirl burner with fuel injection upstream and downstream of the swirler
The present invention is concerned with improved swirl burners, particularly, but not limited to, swirl burners used in fuel cell systems.
COMBUSTION SYSTEM INCLUDING A MIXING TUBE AND A FLAME HOLDER
A combustion system includes a fuel distributor configured to output a fuel, an oxidant source configured to output an oxidant, and a mixing tube defining a mixing volume aligned to receive the fuel and oxidant. The mixing tube is shaped to convey the fuel and the oxidant through the mixing volume at a bulk velocity higher than a flame propagation speed. The combustion system includes a flame holder aligned to receive the mixed fuel and oxidant and to support a combustion reaction of the fuel and the oxidant.
Flexible swirlers
A swirler includes a swirler body and a plurality of axial swirl vanes extending radially outward from the swirler body. At least one of the swirler body or vanes includes a spring channel defined therethrough. A fuel injector for a gas turbine engine can include an inner air swirler and/or outer air swirler as described above.
FUEL CELL SYSTEM AND TAIL GAS BURNER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
The present invention is concerned with improved swirl burners, particularly, but not limited to, swirl burners used in fuel cell systems.
Implosion reactor tube
An implosion reactor tube is provided, including: a receptacle body having a tube shape open at a first end; a cylinder positioned within the receptacle body; a mixing chamber at a second end of the receptacle body; the mixing chamber defined by a baffle; the baffle having a plurality of inner passages proximate to the cylinder allowing fluid passage through the baffle and a plurality of outer passages proximate to the receptacle body allowing passage of air and fuel through said baffle; a fuel and air inlet for allowing the air and fuel to enter the mixing chamber; and a flash igniter for igniting the air and fuel.
NOZZLE
A nozzle for an abatement apparatus and a method are disclosed. The nozzle is for abatement apparatus operable to treat an effluent stream from a processing tool, the nozzle comprises: a nozzle body defining a nozzle inlet operable to receive the effluent stream, a nozzle outlet, and a conduit extending between the nozzle inlet and the nozzle outlet and operable to convey the effluent stream in a direction of flow from the nozzle inlet to the nozzle outlet; and an effluent stream rotator configured to impart a rotational component to the effluent stream to rotate the effluent stream around the direction of flow. In this way, the effluent stream is rotated as it passes through the nozzle body. The destruction rate efficiency achieved by an abatement apparatus when receiving such rotating effluent streams has been found to be significantly improved compared to non-rotating effluent streams.
SHAFT ACTUATED SWIRLING COMBUSTION SYSTEM
A combustor having an ion transport membrane therein and an adjustable swirler, which is mechanically connected at an inlet of a combustion zone of the combustor; a combustion system comprising the combustor, a feedback control system adapted to adjust swirler blades of the combustor based on a compositional variation of a fuel stream, and a plurality of feedback control systems to control operational variables within the combustor for an efficient oxy-combustion; and a process for combusting a fuel stream via the combustion system. Various embodiments of the combustor, the combustion system, and the process for combusting the fuel stream are disclosed.
PROCESS FOR COMBUSTION USING A SHAFT ACTUATED SWIRLING COMBUSTOR
A combustor having an ion transport membrane therein and an adjustable swirler, which is mechanically connected at an inlet of a combustion zone of the combustor; a combustion system comprising the combustor, a feedback control system adapted to adjust swirler blades of the combustor based on a compositional variation of a fuel stream, and a plurality of feedback control systems to control operational variables within the combustor for an efficient oxy-combustion; and a process for combusting a fuel stream via the combustion system. Various embodiments of the combustor, the combustion system, and the process for combusting the fuel stream are disclosed.
