PORTABLE ELECTRIC LIQUID FUEL VAPORIZER
A portable vaporizer for heating a liquid-phase fuel. The vaporizer comprising a reservoir having a least one wall for containing a heat-conducting fluid within the reservoir. A heating tube extending into the reservoir such that the heating tube is in fluid contact with the heat-conducting fluid. The heating core has and inlet through which the liquid-phase fuel will flow and an outlet through which the vaporized liquid-phase fuel will flow. A heating core comprising an electric heating element placed within the reservoir to heat the heat-conducting fluid and vaporize the liquid-phase fuel passing through the heating tube.
Method and system for effluent combustion
Methods and systems of burning a multi-phase hydrocarbon fluid include determining a water content of the multi-phase hydrocarbon fluid, communicating the multiphase hydrocarbon fluid to a fuel port of a burner in a primary fuel flow, initiating a flame at the burner to combust the multi-phase hydrocarbon fluid, communicating an auxiliary fuel source to the burner fuel port in an auxiliary fuel flow, and controlling the primary and auxiliary fuel flows based on the water content of the multi-phase hydrocarbon fluid.
HOUSING OF A GASKET FOR A TURBOMACHINE INJECTOR
An inlet body is for a fluid injector for a turbomachine. The inlet body includes a casing and an inlet nozzle, housed inside the casing, that serves as a seat for a mobile sealing member. The inlet nozzle includes a central duct for the fluid and an annular rim surrounding the central duct. The annular rim includes a housing for a gasket. The housing is defined by a bottom wall, an opening opposite the bottom wall, and two opposite walls which each extend between the bottom wall and the opening. The walls are tilted towards each other in the direction of the opening.
COMBUSTION CHAMBER COMPRISING TWO TYPES OF INJECTORS IN WHICH THE SEALING MEMBERS HAVE A DIFFERENT OPENING THRESHOLD
The invention relates to a combustion chamber for a turbomachine. The combustion chamber comprises at least one spark plug, at least one fuel injector of a first type of injector that is located facing the spark plug, and at least one fuel injector of a second type. Each fuel injector comprises a mobile sealing member that is configured to open when the fuel pressure exceeds an opening threshold. The opening threshold of the mobile sealing member of the injector of the first type is strictly less than the opening threshold of the mobile sealing member of the injector of the second type.
PRESSURE REGULATING MODULES WITH CONTROLLED LEAK PATHS
A pressure regulating module for regulating the pressure of a first fluid using a reference pressure of a second fluid. A pressure transfer assembly including a piston slidably disposed within a cylinder bore between a control fluid chamber and a reference fluid chamber is dimensioned to provide a predefined radial clearance between at least a portion of the outer side wall and the inner circumferential surface of the housing along a predefined axial length of the main body. The predefined radial clearance and predefined axial length are dimensioned to control the flow rate and amount of fluid along one or more fluid communication passages formed between at least a portion of the piston and the housing inner circumferential surface from one or more high pressure fluid zones to a lower pressure fluid zone which can include a leak and/or weep orifice directing fluid to a drain and/or vent circuit.
Directionally biased valve
A valve for regulating fluid flowing bidirectionally therethrough includes a first flow body defining a passage configured to direct fluid flow in a downstream direction defined from the inlet to the outlet. The inlet includes an enlargement configured to provide decreased resistance to fluid flow in the downstream direction relative to flow in an upstream direction opposite the downstream direction.
Method of using a primary fuel to pilot liquid fueled combustors
A fuel delivery system for a combustor of a gas turbine engine including a primary fuel tank configured to store a primary fuel, a secondary fuel tank configured to store a secondary fuel, a swirler configured to produce a main flame within a combustion chamber of the combustor, and a fuel nozzle configured to produce a pilot flame within the combustion chamber of the combustor. The fuel nozzle includes a nozzle outlet that is located proximate to an end of the swirler or at the end of the swirler, the end of the swirler being located at an inlet of the combustor. The fuel delivery system also includes a primary fuel line fluidly connecting the primary fuel tank to the fuel nozzle and a secondary fuel line fluidly connecting the secondary fuel tank to the swirler.
FUEL INJECTION DEVICE FOR A GAS TURBINE
A fuel injection device includes a plurality of main burners and pilot burners. Each main burner is connected to a main distribution line, and each pilot burner is connected to a pilot distribution line. A setting device provides fuel to the main fuel line and/or to the pilot fuel line. A control unit adjusts the setting device between a first mode for exclusive pilot burner operation and a second mode for joint pilot burner operation and main burner operation such that, in the first mode, a tank connection is connected to a first line section of the main fuel line, and a second line section of the main fuel line is connected to the pilot supply line to conduct fuel through the main fuel line before it is supplied to the pilot fuel line to cool the main burner.
AUTO-THERMAL VALVE FOR PASSIVELY CONTROLLING FUEL FLOW TO AXIAL FUEL STAGE OF GAS TURBINE
A combustor for a gas turbine, including: an axial fuel stage fuel injector; and a passively-actuated valve for selectively directing a supply of fuel to the axial fuel stage fuel injector based on a characteristic of the fuel.
