Adaptive application selection in cloud gaming
Methods and systems for remotely provisioning immediately executable games with license control in secure environments. Immediately initially executable portions of games are pushed onto user desktops, and when games are selected for play, additional components of selected games are streamed to said desktops.
Companion Gaming Experience Supporting Near-Real-Time Gameplay Data
A companion gaming experience is associated with a particular game title, but a user interface for the companion gaming experience is generated by a separate program from the associated game title and is presented on a device separate from the device on which the game user interface itself is presented. When an associated game of the video game title is not running, the companion gaming experience presents guide information and/or statistics data for the game title. However, when an associated game of the game title is running, the companion gaming experience presents gameplay data for the game in near-real-time.
Systems and Methods for Generating and Sharing Video Clips of Cloud-Provisioned Games
Methods for sharing mini-games over a game cloud system include receiving a request from a first user to access a user account managed by the game cloud system. Access to the user account is provided, in response to the request. Providing access includes presenting a user interface with a plurality of mini-games available to the user account for user interaction, on a client device of the first user. The plurality of mini-games includes mini-games that have been shared and mini-games that have not been shared with other users. The method further includes detecting selection of a particular mini-game at the user interface. In response to detecting selection, an option to share the particular mini-game with other users, is provided. The option allows the first user to post the particular mini-game to a social stream of the other users.
Method and system for providing an event space associated with a primary virtual space
An approach to facilitate providing an event space associated with a primary virtual space is provided. An event space is provided to users of a primary virtual space, wherein the event space comprises one or more event objectives. Users of the primary virtual space having primary user accounts have associated event space accounts indicating event user parameters, event game parameters, and event inventory information for the first user. The user may be provided with event virtual items for purchase wherein the event virtual items are used in the event space during the event period. In response to a determination of the progress of the user associated with one or more event objectives an event award is determined for distribution to the user, wherein the event award may be used within the primary virtual space.
Method and system for facilitating chance-based in-game virtual item distribution
A system and method for facilitating chance-based in-game virtual item distribution in a video game. A mini-game interface presents a mini-game to a user that has committed to a battle. Prior to instigation of the battle the user participates in a chance-based mini-game that determines awards to be distributed to the user from a set of potential awards. Benefits associated with a determined award are applied to a game entity included in a battle which is to follow the mini-game.
Secondary-game-mode sessions based on primary-game-mode arrangements of user-controlled elements
Approaches for secondary-game-mode sessions based on primary-game-mode arrangements of user-controlled elements are provided. Actions by user-controlled elements of a first user or other game-space elements in a primary game mode of a game space may be managed. A session request for a session in a secondary game mode of the game space may be received from the first user. A first session for the first user may be executed in the secondary game mode such that: (i) the first session involves artificial-intelligence-controlled elements as opponents against the user-controlled elements; (ii) an arrangement of the user-controlled elements at a beginning of the first session is the same as an arrangement of the user-controlled elements in the primary game mode at a time of the session request; and (iii) impacts on the user-controlled elements during the first session in the secondary game mode are not reflected in the primary game mode.
Systems and methods for generating and sharing video clips of cloud-provisioned games
Systems and methods for managing sharing of mini-games over a game cloud system include receiving a request to play a first game executed by the game cloud system, from a first user. The first user is enabled to play the first game, in response to the request, and a recorded video of the game play of the first user is generated. A share request is received from the first user to share the recorded video of the game play. The share request includes a location indicator identifying a location within the recorded video. A video clip is generated from the recorded video of the game play of the first user by including a portion of the recorded video defined in relation to the location indicator identified in the share request. The video clip is shared with one or more users based on information provided in the share request.
Systems and methods for generating and sharing video clips of cloud-provisioned games
Apparatus, systems and methods for providing inputs to a game executing on a game server, is disclosed. A controller includes a circuit, a plurality of input controls interfaced with the circuit of the controller for producing controller data, and a communication circuit for connecting the controller with an internet access device. The communication circuit is configured to exchange controller data with a game server. The exchange of the controller data occurs without a communication link between the controller and a local game console. The game server is configured to execute a game play of a video game and drive interactivity of the video game using the controller data. The game server is remote from the local game console. The game server transmits a video feed of the game play to the game console.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MULTI-SOURCE ARRAY PROCESSING
The present disclosure is directed to methods and systems for processing replacements to a target array by a plurality of source arrays. Selected tokens in a target array may be replaced with corresponding tokens from a source array to generate a region of identical tokens, which may be processed or removed. Tokens in the target array may be shifted in a direction corresponding to the source array to fill empty cells within the target array and new tokens generated. Selections may be made from multiple source arrays iteratively, with shift directions dynamically modified.
