Cooking appliance user control integrated with rate of movement detection
A cooking appliance may use a sensor to sense a rate of movement of a user control and generate an alert when the rate of movement meets an alert criterion, thereby enabling detection of potential inadvertent movements of a user control.
GAS BURNER WITH A COMPACT INJET AND FLOW SENSOR
A gas burner may include a burner body, a first gas orifice, a second gas orifice, a mixed outlet nozzle, an injet body, a gas supply line, a secondary gas line, and a flow sensor. The first gas orifice may be directed towards a plurality of naturally aspirated flame ports. The second gas orifice may be spaced apart from the first gas orifice. The mixed outlet nozzle may be downstream from the second gas orifice and directed towards a plurality of forced induction flame ports. The injet body may define an air passage and a mixing chamber downstream from the air passage. The gas supply line may be mounted on the injet body. The secondary gas line may extend in fluid parallel to the first gas orifice. The flow sensor may be positioned in fluid communication with the secondary gas line to detect a flow rate of gaseous fuel therethrough.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TWO-STAGE DETECTION OF FURNACE FLOODING OR OTHER CONDITIONS
A method includes processing data associated with operation of equipment in an industrial process to repeatedly (i) identify one or more models that mathematically represent the operation of the equipment using training data and (ii) generate first indicators potentially identifying at least one specified condition of the equipment using evaluation data and the one or more models. The method also includes classifying the first indicators into multiple classes. The multiple classes include true positive indicators and false positive indicators. The true positive indicators identify that the equipment is suffering from the at least one specified condition. The false positive indicators identify that the equipment is not suffering from the at least one specified condition. The method further includes generating a notification indicating that the equipment is suffering from the at least one specified condition in response to one or more first indicators being classified into the class of true positive indicators.
Method for regulating a gas mixture by using a gas sensor and a gas mixture sensor
A method for regulating a gas mixture formed from a gas and a fuel gas in a fuel gas-operated heating appliance, wherein the gas mixture is created by providing and mixing a gas quantity by way of a first control element and a fuel gas quantity by way of a second control element, wherein a microthermal gas sensor and a gas mixture sensor are used and sensor signals are relayed to a controller, and wherein upon change in the detected sensor signal [of the] gas sensor the newly detected sensor signal of the gas sensor is compared to reference values which have been measured in the laboratory and saved in a table of values in the controller and from this a target value of the sensor signal of the gas mixture sensor is determined without a mixture ratio of the gas mixture composed of fuel gas and gas being changed.
System and method for estimation of gas fuel lower heating value using energy balances and parametric error modeling
Systems and methods for improved gas turbine engine performance are disclosed. The method can include receiving an error function for a wide range of fuels. The error function can provide lower heating value (LHV) corrections over the wide range of fuels. The method can include receiving gas turbine engine operation data for a first period of run time on the gas turbine from one or more sensors of the gas turbine engine. The engine operation data can include a performance data points. The method can include determining an optimum LHV based on the engine operation data for the first period of run time and the error function. The method can then include adjusting fuel consumption of the gas turbine engine based on the optimum LHV.
Control system for controlling feed of solid fuel in a combustion process
Disclosed is a control system for controlling the feed of a solid fuel in a combustion process. The system includes a control unit which is adapted to communicate by way of a communications link in the system, to receive from online measuring instruments online measurement data regarding a fuel coming from a fuel reception unit, and to control a feeding unit for delivering the measured fuel into a fuel silo on the basis of its content model and measurement data.
METHOD FOR DETECTING ANOMALIES ASSOCIATED WITH A GAS APPLIANCE
The invention refers to a method for detecting anomalies associated with a gas appliance (1), the gas appliance (1) comprising at least a gas inlet (2), at least one gas burner (3) and gas distribution means (4) coupling the gas inlet (2) with said at least one gas burner (3), the method comprising the steps of:—gathering information regarding the gas flow or the operational state based on detection means (5.1, 5.2) (S20);—evaluating said gathered information in order to detect gas flow anomalies or operational anomalies, thereby obtaining evaluation information (S21);—providing alert information from a communication interface of the gas appliance (1) to a user device (6) depending on said evaluation information (S22).
IGNITION SYSTEM
A system including a burner configured to be coupled to a fuel line to deliver fuel to the burner and an igniter positioned adjacent to the burner and configured to ignite fuel emitted by the burner. The system further includes a valve configured to control a flow of fuel through the fuel line and a control module operably coupled to the igniter and to the valve. The control module is configured to send a signal to the igniter and to close the valve if a quality of a return electrical signal from the igniter is below a predetermined value.
Flow control and gas metering process
A system for controlling a flow may be provided. The system may comprise a first flow controller and a gas density meter. The gas density meter may be in fluid communication with the first flow controller. The gas density meter may be configured to calculate a gas density for a first gas flowing through the gas density meter.
