Said blind hole (29) ends with at least one part (31) convergent towards an end zone (K) of the hole (29), said part (31) getting in contact with the thermocouple (11) inserted inside the connection element, the connection element (12) being made from an iron-chrome-aluminum alloy. An assembly comprising such temperature sensor and a burner is also claimed.
Metallic Burner Tiles
The present disclosure seeks to provide a metallic burner tile for use in industrial processes such as cracking. The tile is substantially metallic (e.g. more than 80%) with the balance being ceramic coating on surfaces exposed to high temperature. The tile is lighter and more durable than the current ceramic burners.
Modulating gas furnace and associated method of control
A method is provided for controlling combustion in a modulating gas furnace. The method includes receiving an indication of a firing rate setpoint for a burner assembly, and applying the firing rate setpoint to first and second continuous functions that map the firing rate setpoint to air-to-fuel ratio and combustion system pressure setpoints. A variable-speed draft inducer blower is set to drive to a combustion system pressure setpoint, and the modulating gas valve is controlled during combustion in the combustion system. In this regard, a combustion system pressure measurement is obtained and applied to an inverse of the first continuous function that outputs an adjusted firing rate for the combustion system pressure measurement. The adjusted firing rate is applied to a third continuous function that maps the firing rate to gas valve position, and outputs a gas valve position to which the modulating gas valve is set.
GAS-BURNING FIRE INSTALLATION WITH AN IGNITER CONTROL SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to gas-burning fire installations, such as gas-burning fireplace assemblies, fire table assemblies, gas lamps, gas torches, lanterns, other gas-burning lighting features, heated fountains, etc., that have fuel igniters and igniter control systems. Some embodiments provide a gas-burning fire installation that has a control unit configured to operate in an ignition mode or a run mode, and check for Proof of Flame (POF) gain or loss based on temperature readings by a sensor coupled to a burner and the control unit.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A PREMIX GAS BURNER, A PREMIX GAS BURNER AND A BOILER
A method for operating a premix gas burner wherein an air flow rate and/or a fuel gas flow rate are controlled so as to generate heat with the premix burner in accordance with a heat demand related value. The fuel gas comprises hydrogen and the method further provides a desired air excess factor relation of the air/fuel gas mixture which defines the relation between a desired air excess factor and an input variable like the heat demand related value, an air flow rate related value, or a fuel gas flow rate related value. The desired air excess factor is not a constant factor but varies for different input variable values. The fuel gas flow rate and/or the air flow rate are controlled such that an actual air excess factor converges towards the desired air excess factor while meeting the heat demand.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A FUEL-OXIDIZER MIXTURE IN A PREMIX GAS BURNER
A method for controlling a fuel-oxidizer mixture in a premix gas burner includes: receiving a flame signal representing the presence of a flame deriving from the combustion of a fuel of a first predetermined type or a second predetermined type inside a combustion cell; accessing fuel data representing the fact that the gas fuel belongs to the first type or the second type; generating drive signals to control a gas flow regulating valve that supplies gas to the burner and to control a rotation speed of a fan configured to take in oxidative air; sending the drive signals to the gas flow regulating valve and to a motor connected to the fan. A memory unit contains first regulation data and second regulation data and is programmed to generate the drive signals based on the first regulation data or on the second regulation data, depending on the fuel data.
COMBUSTION DEVICE AND BOILER
A combustion device includes: a burner including an ammonia injection nozzle having a tip portion provided with an injection port facing an internal space of a furnace; an adjustment structure that adjusts a temperature of the tip portion; and a control device that controls an operation of the adjustment structure so that the temperature of the tip portion is equal to or lower than a reference temperature.
Ignition system
A system including a burner configured to be coupled to a fuel line to deliver fuel to the burner and an igniter positioned adjacent to the burner and configured to ignite fuel emitted by the burner. The system further includes a valve configured to control a flow of fuel through the fuel line and a control module operably coupled to the igniter and to the valve. The control module is configured to send a signal to the igniter and to close the valve if a quality of a return electrical signal from the igniter is below a predetermined value.
Method and system for auto-calibrating an ignition process of a digital gas cooking appliance
A digital gas cooking appliance is disclosed. The digital gas cooking appliance has the ability of self-initiating an automatic calibration process to determine an optimum valve position to be used for an electromechanical valve when igniting a gas cooking element by performing a plurality of ignition sequences for the gas cooking element at a plurality of respective valve positions of the electromechanical valve. During each of the plurality of ignition sequences, a respective ignition duration between a start of the respective ignition sequence when an igniter is active and the electromechanical valve is open, and a flame is detected by a flame detector, may be determined.
