INTERACTIVE ENVIRONMENT WITH VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT SPACE SCANNING

An interactive environment image may be displayed in a virtual environment space, and interaction with the interactive environment image may be detected within a three-dimensional space that corresponds to the virtual environment space. The interactive environment image may be a three-dimensional image, or it may be two-dimensional. An image is displayed to provide a visual representation of an interactive environment image including one or more virtual objects, which may be spatially positioned. User interaction with the visualized representation in the virtual environment space may be detected and, in response to user interaction, the interactive environment image may be changed.

Techniques for virtual reality boundaries and related systems and methods

Described herein are techniques for providing an in-game virtual boundary. First data is received that is indicative of a user position while the user is playing a video game. It is determined whether the user position is within a warning zone, wherein the warning zone comprises an area between a soft boundary indicative of a safe area for the user and a safe boundary indicative of one or more real-world objects around the user. Based on a relationship between the user position and the safe boundary, a visual indication of a plurality of visual indications of the in-game virtual boundary is determined to provide to the user. Second data indicative of the visual indication is transmitted to a display being viewed by the user while playing the video game.

Synchronization of magnetic sensor sampling frequency for body pose tracking in artificial reality systems

Magnetic sensor synchronization techniques for pose tracking in artificial reality systems include managing and sending, by one or more primary magnetic sensors, a wireless synchronization signal to other magnetic sensors to trigger sensing sampling. The primary magnetic sensor may generate and send sensor data to a wireless data hub that operates as a sensor data collector and transmits data for pose tracking in the system. Each of the other (non-primary) magnetic sensors, in response to receiving the wireless synchronization signal, updates its sampling starting clock based on new synchronization timing. Each of the magnetic sensors sends generated sensor data to its corresponding primary sensor or wireless data hub according to a different schedule to avoid conflicts between the various magnetic sensors. The synchronization process may be repeated a number of times if a sensor fails to receive or respond to a synchronization signal.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVING FITNESS EQUIPMENT AND EXERCISE
20230107803 · 2023-04-06 ·

The present invention provides systems for and methods of playing a video game that includes providing a game character having a virtual appearance characteristic, receiving an input signal indicative of a user exercise performance level, and altering the virtual appearance characteristic in response to receiving the input signal. Numerous other aspects are disclosed.

RELOCATABLE LOCATION-BASED GAMIFIED APPLICATIONS
20230146131 · 2023-05-11 ·

A modular system for creating a location-based gamified application configured to be played by one or more player units on a playground, uses a location-based mobile game application configured to track and supervise the creation of the location-based gamified application. A a gaming content module is configured to store a plurality of contents of different media required for creation of the gamified application. A database storing a plurality of customization and relocation tools, is provided wherein the tools are organized in a plurality of hierarchical templates. Tools include a Generic Gaming Core template for creating a basic skeleton of the gamified application, a Setup Design template for incorporating a relocation component into the Generic Gaming Core corresponding to a specific location and environment, and a User Customization template for enhancing the gamified application experience.

System and Method for Creating an Avatar
20230133976 · 2023-05-04 ·

An avatar or avatar environment to visualize data may be provided within a social networking system or service, for example as part of the Internet, and/or within a desktop widget, panel, gadget, or the like. The avatar may further evolve or alter its appearance, animation, or other visual or audio characteristics in response to the data or other input such as athletic activity performed by a corresponding user. In particular, the avatar of an embodiment may respond to and provide visualization of athletic or sport performance data.

System and method for providing virtual spaces for access by users via the web

A system configured to provide one or more virtual spaces that are accessible to users. The virtual spaces may be provided such that an enhanced level of interactivity between the virtual spaces and the Web, including resources that communicate with the system via the Internet (e.g., via users, websites, webpages, other web resources, etc.) and/or other networks. To provide this enhanced level of interactivity, the system may enable interactions between an instance of a virtual space and the Web (e.g., queries, commands, communication, administrative controls, etc.) via a standard web protocol, such as a HyperText Transfer Protocol (e.g., http, https, etc.) and/or other standard web protocols. Since interactions take place between the instance of the virtual space and the Web via a standard web protocol, the instance of the virtual space may interact directly with Web resources such as web servers, web browsers, websites, webpages, and/or other Web resources.

User selection of virtual camera location to produce video using synthesized input from multiple cameras

A space in which an augmented reality (AR) computer simulation is played is mapped by multiple cameras. An AR video game player can select a location in space from which the AR player wishes to have a view of the space, including himself. Using the mapping of the space a synthesized video is generated as if from a camera located at the location in space selected by the player.

MODULAR ACCESSORY FOR VIDEO GAMING

Systems and method for using a modular game accessory to play a video game. A smart toy is presented that can be reconfigured by the player on the fly while playing the video game by adding and removing modules. When the smart toy is reconfigured, the capabilities of the player's in-game avatar are modified accordingly. In this way, the smart toy exists as a hybrid of a physical toy and video game avatar. Modules for modifying the smart toy can represent components and crew of the vehicle represented by the smart toy, and different modules can offer different capabilities to the in-game avatar.

IN-GAME LOCATION BASED GAME PLAY COMPANION APPLICATION

A method for gaming. The method including receiving location based information of game play of a user playing a gaming application as displayed on a first computing device, wherein the location based information is made with reference to a location of a character in the game play of the user in a gaming world associated with the gaming application. The method including aggregating location based information of a plurality of game plays of a plurality of users playing the gaming application. The method including generating contextually relevant information for the location of the character based on the location based information of the plurality of game plays. The method including generating a companion interface including the contextually relevant information. The method including sending the companion interface to a second computing device associated with the user for display concurrent with the game play of the user.
