SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROL OF VOLUMETRIC FLOWS IN A POWER PRODUCTION PLANT

The present disclosure provides methods for controlling volumetric flows of streams into a combustor, and particularly in a combustor utilized in a power production method. A controller can be used to receive a variety of inputs, carry out calculations, and output one or more signals that adjust one or more parameters of one or more of the streams entering the combustor. Such adjustments can be effective to normalize a volumetric flow rate between the combustor and a turbine immediately downstream from the combustor without requiring direct measurement of the volumetric flow rate between the combustor and the turbine immediately downstream from the combustor.

Sectional fuel manifolds

A multipoint fuel injection system comprises an injection system segment including a circumferentially extending outer support defining a fuel manifold with a plurality of manifold passages extending circumferentially therethrough. A first connector is included at a first circumferential end of the outer support and a second connector is included at a second circumferential end of the outer support opposite the first circumferential end. The first and second connectors are each configured to connect each manifold passage with a manifold passages of a respective outer support of a circumferentially adjacent injection system segment. The system includes a circumferentially extending inner support and a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart feed arms extending radially between the inner support and the outer support. A plurality of outlet openings extend in an axial direction from each feed arm for feeding respective injection nozzles.

Disclosed is a fuel mixed injection method for a gas turbine. The method includes the following steps: arranging a secondary fuel injection nozzle and a secondary air injection nozzle on a secondary combustion section, wherein the secondary fuel injection nozzles is closer to a main combustion section than the secondary air injection nozzle; and injecting secondary fuel and secondary primary air in sequence through the secondary fuel injection nozzle and the secondary air injection nozzle, respectively, thus enabling the secondary fuel to spontaneously combust in a mainstream high-temperature flue gas atmosphere to form a transverse jet flame and increase the flame lift-off height.
