OPERATING DEVICE FOR A DOMESTIC APPLIANCE HAVING A ROTARY RING AND HAVING A LIGHT STRIP
An operating device for a domestic appliance includes an operating element having a rotary ring to set operating conditions of the domestic appliance according to a rotary movement, and an electronic display area enclosed by the rotary ring. An optical light strip in a form of a circumferential ring is arranged adjacent to and separate from the rotary ring to indicate visually a length of a rotary path travelled by the rotary ring in a rotary movement.
METHOD FOR PERFORMING A DRYING FUNCTION AFTER A COOKING FUNCTION OR STEAM COOKING FUNCTION
The present invention relates to a method for performing a drying function after a cooking function, in particular after a steam cooking function, wherein said method comprises the steps of: running the cooking function or steam cooking function (12) for a predetermined time or being manually finished by the user, detecting and/or calculating (16; 26) at least one parameter value (Y; H; t.sub.e) after the cooking function or steam cooking function has been finished, comparing (18; 28) the detected and/or calculated parameter value (Y; H; t.sub.e) with a corresponding threshold parameter value (Yth; Hth; t.sub.eth), checking, if the drying function is required, and running the drying function (22) if required.
SAFETY CONTROL LOCKOUT KNOB
A control knob for controlling the operation of a component of a household appliance is disclosed. The control knob includes a body configured to be attached to a rotatable rod extending from the appliance. A locking element reversibly secures the body in at least one rotational position. The locking element is movable between a first position and a second position. The locking element is configured to engage with a notch to rotatably secure the body in the at least one rotational position when the locking element is in the first position, and to disengage from the notch to permit the body to be rotated when the locking element is in the second position.
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A management system includes: a management device; and a terminal device. The management device includes: an acquisition unit that acquires device identification information and usage information, the device identification information identifying a heat cooking appliance, the usage information being obtained according to usage of the heat cooking appliance; and a tabulation unit that tabulates, for each store in which the heat cooking appliance corresponding to the device identification information that has been acquired by the acquisition unit is installed, the usage information having been acquired by the acquisition unit. The terminal device acquires tabulated result tabulated by the tabulation unit, and outputs, to an output, the acquired tabulated result.
OVEN APPLIANCE AND METHOD FOR PREHEATING HIGH-HEAT COOKING SURFACE
An oven appliance may include a cabinet, a plurality of chamber walls, a cooking surface, a top heating element, a temperature sensor, and a controller. The cooking surface may be defined in a cooking chamber. The top heating element may be mounted above the cooking surface to heat the cooking chamber. The temperature sensor may be disposed within the cabinet. The controller may be configured to initiate a cooking operation that includes initiating preheat activation of the top heating element, receiving temperature signals from the temperature sensor during the preheat activation, determining a preheat threshold is met based on the received temperature signals, and initiating cooking activation of the top heating element based on a cooking cycle having a predetermined time interval subsequent to determining the preheat threshold is met. Initiating cooking activation may include directing the top heating element based on the cooking cycle for the predetermined time interval.
Cooking appliance
A cooking appliance includes a door frame that supports a heating part and is coupled to a door such that the heating part is disposed at the door.
Stove guard utilizing different wavelengths
A stove guard comprises a data processing unit (101) and a temperature sensor arrangement (102) for receiving thermal radiation from objects in a specific field of view and for supplying detector signals representative of the received thermal radiation to the data processing unit (101). The temperature sensor arrangement (102) includes at least three detector elements (201, 202, 203), their sensitivity bands located at different positions along an optical radiation wavelength axis. The sensitivity band of one of said detector elements is limited to a wavelength range of less than 1.2 micrometers.
METHOD AND APPARATUS TO ALERT ENERGIZATION OF COOKING APPLICANCE SURFACE BURNERS
A method and apparatus for a cooking appliance having an alert for energization of one or more burners. The cooking appliance may include an ignition enable control. The cooking appliance may include a locked mode and an unlocked mode. The cooking appliance may include one or more alarms to alert the user.
Knob assembly with a display device and appliance having the same
A knob assembly includes a knob located at a front panel of the knob assembly and configured to rotate about an axis, a knob ring that is located at the front panel, that surrounds the knob, and that rotates about the axis independently of rotation of the knob, an adjusting shaft that extends from the knob through the knob ring in a direction rearward of the front panel and that rotates based on rotation of the knob and causes operation of a device, a first rotation sensing part that senses rotation of the adjusting shaft, and a first sensing target that rotates based on rotation of the adjusting shaft. A position of the first sensing target changes based on rotation of the first sensing target, and the first rotation sensing part senses at least one of the position or a change of the position of the first sensing target.
Cooking appliance
A cooking appliance includes a shaft protruding to an outside of a control panel; a knob installed in a way that encircles an outside of the shaft protruding to the outside of the control panel; a knob ring disposed between the control panel and the knob, and configured to guide a rotation of the knob; a supporter disposed between the knob and the knob ring, and shaft-coupled to the shaft to connect the knob and the shaft; and a support part disposed between the knob ring and the supporter and configured to narrow a gap between the knob ring and the supporter, or disposed between the knob ring and the knob and configured to narrow a gap between the knob ring and the knob.
