Glass ceramic plate for worktop or furniture
A novel glass ceramic sheet intended in particular to be used as the surface of a furniture unit or as a worktop, the sheet including, at least in one of its faces, in particular its lower face, at least one connection element of a height less than or equal to 10 cm, the connection element including at least one part that is magnetized or at least one part made of a material capable of being attracted by a magnet. Furniture or a household equipment incorporating the glass ceramic sheet.
HOB AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING SUCH A HOB
A hob comprises a hob plate, heating devices therebelow and a flat, two-dimensional carrier plate for the heating devices which runs parallel to the hob plate and has an upper face, said carrier plate bearing the heating devices on said upper face and fixedly holding said heating devices in position. Holding means are provided on the upper face of the carrier plate for each heating device. Each heating device has at least one laterally protruding holding tab, wherein each holding tab has latching means and the holding means have counter latching means for a latching connection with these latching means. The latching connection has clearance in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the carrier plate. The holding means are fastened to the upper face of the carrier plate with a releasable fastening in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the carrier plate and with a positive connection in the direction parallel to the surface of the carrier plate, wherein the holding tab runs above the carrier plate.
Undermount cooktop assembly
A cooktop assembly includes a countertop defining a cutout portion, and a countertop contact area is disposed proximate a perimeter of the cutout portion on a lower surface of the countertop. A cooktop defines a work portion, and a cooktop contact area is disposed proximate a perimeter of the work portion on an upper surface of the cooktop. An attachment assembly includes a first attachment member positionable on a first side of the cutout portion of the countertop. A second attachment member is positionable on a second side of the cutout portion of the countertop. The first and second sides are opposing sides, and the first and second attachment members are securable to the countertop and the cooktop to engage the countertop contact area with the cooktop contact area thereby securing the cooktop to the countertop.
DOWNDRAFT VENTILATOR, COOKING SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR INSTALLATION
A downdraft ventilator includes: at least one housing device for installation into least one cabinet body below at least one countertop; at least one vapor-collecting hood device having at least one intake opening for cooking vapors, and, when installed, the at least one vapor-collecting hood device at least partially extends through at least one opening in a countertop; at least one mounting frame fittable into an opening of the countertop, the at least one mounting frame having at least one opening for the vapor-collecting hood device; and at least one supporting device having at least one supporting element, the at least one supporting device being mounted on the at least one housing device, and the at least one supporting element causing the at least one mounting frame and/or a cooktop device disposed adjacent thereto to be supported at least in some portions.
Interior mounted cooktop bracket for concealed and surface mounted installation
An inside-mount countertop-range support for a flush-mount countertop range includes a counter bracket configured to be engaged to an inner edge of an opening defined within a countertop with a top surface. A base flange extends from the counter bracket and into the opening. The inside-mount countertop-range support includes a range having a housing and top member above the housing that extends over the opening and includes a bottom surface, wherein the housing is configured to be disposed within the opening. A range bracket is configured to be coupled to the housing and includes a top flange that is configured to be supported by the base flange, wherein when the top flange rests upon the base flange, the bottom surface of the top member engages and is flush with the top surface of the countertop.
GLASS BREAKAGE MITIGATION USING SILICONE RUBBER OR SIMILAR MATERIAL
A glass cooktop includes a single planar glass substrate having an exposed upper surface and an interior lower surface. A perimeter is disposed about an outer edge of the single planar glass substrate. A gasket is disposed on the interior surface radially inward from the perimeter of the single planar glass substrate. The gasket is adapted to absorb energy associated with a breaking of the single planar glass substrate such that a plurality of broken sections of the single planar glass substrate are retained by the gasket.
GLASS-CERAMIC ARTICLE
An item, in particular for domestic and/or furniture use, in particular a countertop or furniture unit, includes a carcass on which a glass-ceramic assembly is arranged, the glass-ceramic assembly including a glass-ceramic plate and an electronic module including at least one heating element, the carcass including a support surface on which the glass-ceramic plate is placed and fastened and a housing in which the heating element is arranged, wherein the glass-ceramic plate bears a fastening system for reversibly fastening it to the carcass.
Economical and versatile system for fixing a hob in a worktop
A cooking hob retention system includes a support element having a major surface and a pocket disposed therealong and defining a strip having a first opening and a second opening on vertically opposite sides thereof. The system also includes a fastening element including an engagement end and a free end resiliently compressible toward the engagement end about a central fold disposed therebetween. The engagement end is coupled with the support element by a deformable portion opposite the central fold received within the first opening and a protruding element extending toward the deformable portion and received within the second opening. The free end includes a body defining an acute angle with respect to the engagement end. A tab extends from the body generally parallel to the engagement end, and a first countering element extends from the body beyond the tab to an end thereof.
Hot surface igniters for cooktops
Hot surface igniter assemblies used in cooktops are shown and described. The hot surface igniters include a silicon nitride ceramic body with an embedded, resistive, heat-generating circuit. The igniters are less than 0.04 inches thick, and when energized, they reach surface temperatures in excess of 2000° F. in under 4 seconds to ignite combustible gas such as propane, butane, or natural gas. Examples of cook top burner systems are also provided which allow the igniter to remain on after ignition at a power level that is lower than during ignition but high enough to ignite the cooking gas should a flame out occur. Examples are also provided of burners that ignite on a low flow setting (e.g., simmer) as opposed the high flow settings that are common in cook top industry.
DEPLOYABLE GRILL
